Firmly based around his uplifting and euphoric sound, Gaia has been a production name for Armin since the late nineties, however only now is he ready to bring this to a live audience. Having specifically chosen SW4 to showcase this new concept in a full UK festival exclusive, this appearance will look to build on the inaugural performance of Gaia which destroyed Miami’s Ultra Music Festival last year. Both Solomun and Âme are no strangers to SW4 having both debuted in 2013 and 2012 respectively. Over the years Sasha has contributed hugely to our history, from headlining the inaugural instalment of the festival in 2004 and then again in 2009, to debuting his own ‘Last Day on Earth’ stage last summer. In 2015 he returns to our main stage for the first time in five years, where he will play directly before Faithless’ huge homecoming live performance. So far this year Sasha has thrilled his fans with the release of his first solo single in four years titled ‘Vapourspace’, which follows in the path of his widely-played remix of London Grammar and collaborations with James Teej and Joel Mull. With the man on a purple patch at present, make sure you come witness the master control his playground as Sasha returns to South West Four.
Two Detroit legends go head to head this summer at South West Four on Saturday 29th August as we present Carl Craig featuring ‘Mad’ Mike Banks Live in a full UK festival exclusive. Having been responsible for one of the standout performances at ADE 2014, the coming together of these two musical innovators makes this one of the most anticipated sets of the entire weekend. Carl is of course no stranger to Clapham Common having brought his ‘Innerzone Orchestra’ to South West London in 2009, followed by a very special DJ set in 2013. With a discography which includes many of techno’s finest moments, Carl has spent the past three decades staying true to the sound he has helped define and his sets are a reflection of the rich musical heritage of the Motor City. He will be joined by Underground Resistance founder ‘Mad’ Mike Banks, who will invoke the jazz-infused techno spirit of his Detroit collective by playing live on keys. One for the heads.
As musicians go, there are few in the world as accomplished as our next act. A true pioneer, we are excited to announce that Berlin-based Henrik Schwarz will make his South West Four debut with an exclusive live performance. As a producer, his ability to bridge the gap between classical and modern-day electronic sounds is unrivalled, whilst as a composer his eclectic approach to composition and sound design is also in a league of its own. On top of a diary bursting with dates in every continent, 2015 also welcomes the release of his latest album ‘Instruments’, which will be showcased live on Clapham Common. Having fought off fierce competition for his brilliance, Henrik is another Innervisions favourite that we can’t wait to welcome this summer.
In just a few short years, the brilliant multi-dimensional duo Pan-Pot have created a dominating presence in the underground scene. As an act we’ve always had on our hit list, we are excited to welcome the Mobilee Records artists to Clapham Common for the first time this summer. 2014 witnessed the pair play the main room at Time Warp’s 20th Anniversary, command leading slots at Awakenings and Mysteryland and deliver stellar performances at Watergate, Elrow, Hyte and Music On. At SW4 Saturday the pair will remind us of their outstanding talents, making them one of the most exciting acts of the day.
Also making their maiden voyage on the good ship SW4 this year are underground giants Pleasurekraft. Originating from Stockholm and Washington respectively, Kalle and Kaveh are two of a kind. Founders of the outstanding Kraftek imprint, the techno-driven duo are regularly found leading the charge at many of the world’s greatest parties. Highlights of 2014 included summer dates at Space’s Elrow, ANTS at Ushuaia as well as at Defected’s and Suara’s Ibiza showcases. With production at the forefront of their agenda, this year has already seen them team up with Tiger Stripes to remix Cajmere’s ‘Satisfy’, whilst their edit of Green Velvet’s ‘Genedefekt’, alongside Carlo Lio, is also set for imminent release. On course to be one of the Saturday’s must-see SW4 debuts, it is one we strongly advise you do not miss.
After the recent sell out success of their Deeper Sessions event at Brixton’s superb auditorium Electric, we can announce that Tube & Berger’s next trip to the Capital will be at South West Four. Playing the festival on Saturday 29th August in their exclusive London summer play, the German-duo will be joined by Kittball label-mate Paji, who plays live. The past twelve months have seen the house and disco favourites continue to add to their arsenal of peak-time weapons with further releases on Defected, Get Physical and their own imprint, all receiving critical acclaim.

A series of events have been curated to celebrate this achievement which will culminate in spectacular fashion at South West Four on Saturday 29th August, as The Gallery hosts its own arena. Hailed as The Kings of Egypt, Aly & Fila have become internationally recognised as leaders of the contemporary trance sound. Unrivalled at fusing vintage synths with poignant vocals and tough basslines, their commitment to the genre’s more traditional roots has garnered a dedicated army of global followers. That has been illustrated in the Capital, where they hold court at the Ministry as one of The Gallery’s all-time favourite guests. Last August Fadi delivered a spectacular set to a sun-kissed Clapham Common, whilst 2015 marks Aly & Fila’s return for an even bigger performance.
Tagged as a modern-day Mozart and a leading talent in today’s trance scene, South West Four is delighted to welcome back Armada’s Andrew Rayel. Returning to their spiritual home of Clapham Common on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August, South West Four 2015 will bring you a lineup featuring the biggest, best and most respected names in electronic music.
For the very first time SW4 will showcase ten incredible stages across the Bank Holiday Weekend, including the debut of a second main stage, the biggest indoor structure ever erected on Clapham Common. And with two main stages set to welcome your favourite headline DJs and live electronic acts, their lineup will hit the three figure mark for the first time, as they welcome over one hundred artists to the Capital.
SW4 2015 will be their most ambitious instalment to date and look to top last year’s weekend which was widely regarded as their best ever, resulting in winning the coveted 'Best British Festival' award at the DJ Magazine awards.
SW4 always promises to deliver a huge lineup; and this year was no different. Clapham Common battens down the hatches once a year for an onslaught of thousands of festival-goers eager to experience some of europe’s finest EDM DJ’s and Producers in the flesh.
We arrived at Clapham Common to a slightly cooler day and walked around the site to get our bearings; there was four stages this year, The Gallery, The Last Day on Earth, the DJ Magazine Arena, and of course the Main Stage. The set times had been posted so we knew where we needed to be and when; and first up was Oliver Heldens on the main stage. Somewhat predictably the early crowd knew exactly what they wanted to hear – Gecko. He set the scene well for the early comers, and we got some great photos of the crowd enjoying a rave in the sunshine.
Next up on the main stage was Danny Avila, who has had a quick rise in EDM, and now normally plays with the big names in the US – but his UK festival appearance this year shows his universal appeal. His bootleg of Ellie Goulding’s Burn went down particularly well.
Leaving the main stage, we headed over to catch Loco Dice in the DJ Mag tent – at our earlier interview with Tristan Ingram, he’d said how much he was looking forwards to Loco’s set, so we couldn’t miss it either and made sure we were right there to catch all the action. He didn’t disappoint and obviously really enjoyed his set; bouncing around the stage like it was midnight! It was still early, and the sun streamed through the tent’s openings – it got pretty hot in there, but the crowd stuck with him on his deep but funky journey.
This is where it all got a bit hectic; we rushed back to catch Fedde Le Grand, saw him play a few stormers including Off With Yer Head, but we had to rush off again for Booka Shade – who were playing live in the Last Day on Earth arena. The stage had been cleared of the DJ booth, and in its place was two ‘pods’, one containing percussion, and the other, synths. The crowd was in for a treat! The guys gave a really expressive and vibrant performance, interacting throughout on the mic. Off again to catch Super8/TAB in the Gallery briefly before we rushed back to catch Seth Troxler while it rained (timing!). Seth is a relative newbie by comparison to Sasha who followed him in the Last Day arena, but by no means less impressive, and he really delivered a storming set to amp the crowd up for Sasha.
The festival site isn’t too large, so all the running about wasn’t too difficult. The entire central area was made over to food trucks and rides which made a welcome distraction for some. We made it back in time to catch New World Punx on the Main stage – Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten are ever the showmen and put on a fantastic show, really hyping up the now growing crowd – the huge screens had some amazing visuals and NWP had the pleasure of playing as the sun started to dip in the sky – what a beautiful sight it was. Alesso followed NWP and played a lovely dj set, warming up nicely and building the vibe for W&W, but it was over to catch Aly & Fila for us in the Gallery arena where the crowd were really getting into it.
Knowing that Markus Schulz was up next we stuck around and were treated to a great set, punctuated with classics – always one to play to the crowd and we were not disappointed! The vibe was electric and you know when Ferry Corsten is hanging around back stage that something special is going on. I could have stayed front and centre there for the whole set, but Above & Beyond were up on the main stage, and we had to go capture!
By now the sun was well and truly down, and the lighting on stage picked up a notch- the Above & Beyond show had begun. Huge vocals, and reach-for-the-lasers tunes are what A&B are known for, and they certainly delivered right til the very end.
Thank you SW4 – a fantastic day with some amazing moments and something I’ll remember for a long while. The journey home with the sorest feet I’ve had in a long time, and I can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Following W&W’s jaw-dropping headline performance at The Gallery’s Nineteenth Birthday, we are thrilled to announce that the emphatic duo’s next London performance will be at South West Four. After last year’s Common assault on one of our indoor arenas, it was evident the W&W sound was too big for any tarpaulin to contain! In 2014 the Dutch masterminds will take to our hallowed main stage for the first time for another unforgettable onslaught of their melodic yetheavy-hitting sound. Found at the forefront of DJ brilliance is the master of high energy, tech-driven trance sounds, Subculture boss John O’Callaghan. His relentless appetite for success, flawless production ability and precision mixing, helped establish himself as one of the trance community’s greatest talents. By combining the most uplifting melodies with dominating bass lines, John has earned his position amongst the trance elite, yet he continues to impress the electronic world with releases on Armada, Lange Recordings and his own illustrious Subculture imprint. As an Ibizan regular at Cream and A State of Trance, we can’t wait for John O’Callaghan to bring the sunshine to Clapham Common once again this August.
A leading talent in the rapidly-growing trance scene, Andrew Rayel’s orchestral background enables him to produce some of the most encapsulating and prolific sounds of recent times. After finding a secure home for his productions in the A State of Trance and Armind labels, it’s clear to see why he has been welcomed into the trance family with open arms. With studio abilities superseding many twice his age, Andrew has remixed the likes of Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Tiësto, W&W and Tenishia to name a few. After spreading his sound across the globe with performances at Kazantip, Global Gathering, Ministry of Sound in addition to multiple ASOT dates, this Clapham Common appearance represents a mouth-watering SW4 debut.
Another act flourishing in the countdown to their South West Four debut is Ukranian DJ and producer Omnia. Having already made waves as a festival rocking DJ in his homeland, Omnia has recently transformed himself into a breakoutand in-demand producer on a global scale, especially after dropping a devastating series of releases that have included several Beatport #1s. Leading the charge of an evident Eastern European takeover, Omnia’s past twelve monthsinclude notable festival highlights such as Global Gathering, Ultra, A State Of Trance 600 plus Summadayze (Australia), as well as club destroying performances at Ministry Of Sound, Zouk, Papaya, Privilege and Eden. South West Fourplease welcome Omnia.
After signing to Spinnin’ Records aged just seventeen, the world’s eyes have been firmly placed on the next big move of Oliver Heldens. After impressing the label with his phenomenal potential, Spinnin’ signed him exclusively in 2013, making him one of electronic music’s most exciting new prospects. Last year also marked the biggest release of his career to date, with ‘Gecko’ reaching #2 in Beatport’s Top 100 chart. Having developed an outlet that bridges the gap between big-room listeners and the underground community, Heldens’ deep and techy sounds have added a new dimension to the often tunnelled world of electronic music. Add into the mix a rework of Martin Garrix’s ‘Animals’ which was heavily supported by NERVO, Knife Party, Zedd and Porter Robinson and you have another SW4 debut you simply cannot afford to miss.
South West Four 2014 will also feature the pairing of two trance forces for a highly anticipated back-to-back battle. Formed by Will Holland and Estiva, this clash will see the pair display an unprecedented level of technical prowess as they deliver a set crammed with sought after electronic sounds. As the man behind the modern trance monolith that is Enhanced Music, Will Holland has seen his profile grow enormously through unrivalled residencies at Wildchild andGatecrasher before teaming up with Digital Society to become one of the genres most influential figures. With Dutch powerhouse Estiva also landing at SW4 for the very first time, his flair for beautiful melodic trance will go hand in hand with his opposite number for an early afternoon session of sun kissed sounds.

As one of the hottest electronic dance music producers to emerge in recent years, Madeon brings his live show to SW4 for the first time on Sunday 24th August. Aged just 19, Madeon has already had huge success with the singles 'Icarus', 'Finale' and 'The City', all pioneered by Radio 1's Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe before becoming firm favourites on thestation's playlist. His astonishing talent has also been showcased at many of the world’s biggest festivals, cementing his position amongst electronic music’s biggest players.
John Digweed returns to South West Four this summer for the tenth consecutive year and his exclusive London festival performance. John’s philosophy embodies South West Four, whilst his ingenuity, dedication and all round ability to destroy dancefloors is why he is always welcomed him back to Clapham Common with open arms. Having headlined in 2009and hosted Bedrock arenas at SW4 in 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013, John takes to our mammoth 7,000 capacity indoor stage on Sunday 24th August, ably joined by many of the leading names in underground house and techno.
Pete Tong: the world’s undisputed ambassador for electronic music. It’s quite a title, but one that is whole heartily deserved. Having been broadcasting on BBC Radio 1 since 1991, he has become widely acclaimed across the world as the tastemaker for dance music. Pete has an astounding flair to break new talent; he’s helped kick start the careers of hundreds of artists, giving them the infamous ‘Pete Tong Push’. Now in 2014, with a global touring schedule to make your eyes water, not to mention single, remix and compilation releases abound, Pete has never been more important. A real favourite at the festival, we welcome him back to South West Four’s main stage for another essential performance!
Representing one of the most mouth-watering back-to-back sessions of 2014, South West Four is delighted to exclusively present Bicep going head to head with Simian Mobile Disco. Playing SW4 for the first time, Bicep are the new kids on the block. Through their amalgamation of house, funk, disco and techno, the duo have formed a completely unique yetobscure approach and understanding of electronic music. Evident through their energetic and unpredictable soundtracks, self-curated label and club night ‘Feel My Bicep’, a monthly show on Rinse FM plus further releases on AUS Music, Love Fever and KMS Records, the Bicep boys have established themselves as one of house music’s most sought-after acts. They will team up with the unmistakeable duo of James Ford and Jas Shaw aka Simian Mobile Disco to form one of the tastiest DJ battles SW4 has ever seen. With their collaboration‘Sacrifice’ marking a pivotal point in 2013, Bicep and Simian Mobile Disco arrive for this mouth-watering battle of the beats as two of dance music’s most intriguing forces. We guarantee that this exclusive pairing will leave you begging for more.
Since the release of his artistically brilliant album ‘1977’ on Kompakt last June, the electronic world has been in admiration of one of its fastest rising stars, Kölsch. Following superb recent performances at the Bugged Out Weekender and Snowbombing, plus his inaugural headline UK tour, the Dane has set himself up to become one of 2014’s most exciting artists. Fittingly described as romantic techno, Kölsch’s melodic anthems have gained a vast amount of support from the world’s leading talent. Having kicked off the year in fine form by launching BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix Future Stars series, it’s clear that 2014 is the year of Kölsch.
Another artist that will join us at South West Four for the first time in 2014 is Shadow Child. Fully revelling in the limelight thanks to his recent onslaught of bass-heavy house joints that have raised the roof the world over, his meteoric riseto prominence stems from his 2012 debut in ‘String Thing’ through DirtyBird records. He has subsequently gone onto release tracks on Apollo Music and Moda Black and in the process has earned mass support from label owners as well as the likes of Eats Everything, Annie Mac and Pete Tong. In 2014Shadow Child released his debut album‘Collected’, which fully showcases the breadth of his talent including hit originals to stunning remixes of the likes of London Grammar andAluna George. We cannot wait to see Shadow Childset SW4 alight with his stunning blend of pounding house beats.
As two of drum and bass’ greatest exports, SW4 Sunday will see the unmistakeable Marcus Intalex go head-to-head with Special Request for the very first time. Representing thesoulful side of drum and bass sounds, Marcus has honed his craft with residencies at both Fabric London and Soul:ution Manchester as well as heading up his Soul:Rlabel. Having earned his reputation as drum and bass’ leading tastemaker, this unmissable battle promises to shake Clapham Common to its core. Inspired by the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, Special Request captures the raw energy and diversity of the illegal airwaves that have been an immeasurable influence as his alter-ego Paul Woolford. After storming through the scene in 2013 with a mix of vinyl-only and limited edition releases including ‘Lolita’ and ‘Alone’, this uncompromising contest of heavy-hitting 160 BPM beats, promises to be remembered for years to come.
As one of the UK club music's most restless innovators, Boddika makes his SW4 debut on Sunday 24th August. Whether it’s his terrific solo productions, incredible collaborationswith Joy Orbsion and Pearson Sound, as one half of the highly respected Instra:mental, or one third of Autonomic, Boddika’s hardcore techno workouts are a joy to behold. With notable releases such as ‘Soul What’, ‘Acid Jackson’ and ‘Steam’, the past few years have been non-stop for the Nonplus label head and we're very excited to be welcoming him toClapham Common.
Hailing from Miami, Danny Daze has championed his sound in recent years after uniquely fusing together elements of Detroit techno with Italian disco to make him one of the world’s most interesting underground talents. Making his long-awaited SW4 debut in 2014, Danny has seen his profile grow ten-fold over the past twelve months by consistently delivering on the finest imprints of today including Saved, Hot Creations, Dirtybird, Future Classic and long-term friend Maceo Plex’sEllum. With non-stop tours across the world, Danny’s technical prowess allows him to take musical risks that make him one of the most exciting acts to make the trip to South London on Sunday 24th August.
