Joining the main stage line-up are ska-punk superstars Less Than Jake, anthemic rockers Augustines, Irish folk-pop duo Hudson Taylor, Manchester psych-rockers Blossoms and the piano-led rock of Sunset Sons.
Indie-pop five piece Dutch Uncles, Boxed In, Flyte, Port Isla, Seafret and Tuff Love join the Calling Out line up.
As ever the Glow tent will be packed to the rafters with the finest in electronic music. Heading up the line-up are electronic duo and ‘Superstylin’ hit makers Groove Armada who will perform a DJ set. They will be joined by drum and bass don Shy FX, the unique three-deck sounds of Friction, dubstep and house from Redlight and the cut and paste mashups of Jaguar Skills. Local heroes Bondax & Friends will take over the Glow Tent for a day with the Lancashire future garage duo returning to curate a line-up including Maribou State, Kidnap Kid, Monki and Jax Jones.
Tim Peaks returns for 2015 with a selection of Q&A’s, secret sets and special guests as well as some damn fine coffee and the best cherry pie in town. The hotly anticipated return of Lovebox in 2014 will see some massive changes as it is joined by Secret Productions of Secret Garden Party fame to chorograph a new vision.
Headling the 2014 edition will is the fearless queen of rap M.I.A. and drum and bass kings Chase and Status. They are joined rappers A$AP Rocky and Joey Bada$$, electronic producer Sub Focus, chart topping ladies Katy B and Banks and many many more!

Headlining Lovebox 2014 will be fearless queen of rap M.I.A. The Matangi warrior we know as Maya, will unleash her musical explosion of light and heat on our main stage this year. An embodiment of worldly pop, M.I.A.’s celebration of music and freedom of speech will be perfectly placed in what is our most colorful Lovebox to date.
Also headlining this year’s Lovebox are drum’n’bass duo Chase and Status. Touching down in their home city, London boys Saul Milton and Will Kennard’s storming and riotous live show and will set our main stage alight with their dusty trip-hop grooves and jungle infused garage- the duo said “we’re excited to be headlining Lovebox this year, we both come from London so to play this festival in our hometown will be great. Plus you can always count on London crowds to bring it”.
Landing in Victoria Park this summer will be Harlem rapper Rakim Mayers, A$AP Rocky. A$AP’s magnetic live show of East Coast rhymes and dreamy hip-hop anthems will run alongside Brooklyn’s lyrical dynamo Joey Bada$$ who we welcome to the show. Rapper experimentalist Madlib and London born Knytro will also grace proceedings.
Cutting-edge electronic producer Sub Focus will be hyping up crowds with his storming sub-bass laden stage show, along with Crystal Fighters whose unique blend of Basque influences and electro-pop will get the party going.
Chart-topping R&B girls of the moment Katy B and BANKS are out in force as is hotly tipped songtress Elli Ingram, while electronic experimentalists Mount Kimbie and long-renowned UK producer Bonobo will be wowing crowds. We welcome critically revered institution The Horrrors, who over the course of four albums have come to the fore of the most progressive British bands of our time. Moderat’s gloriously compelling live show will be one of Lovebox’s many atmospheric gems, along with the ambient electronica of Submotion Orchestra.
Back after his hugely successful Ram Jam at last year’s Lovebox will be master selector and British institution Sir David Rodigan. Shy FX and Stamina MC will be hyping up crowds along with Joy Orbison, Gaslamp Killer and Cyril Hahn.
We’re hugely excited to welcome back Red Bull Music Academy for their second year at Lovebox. A world-travelling series of music workshops and festivals, RBMA is a platform for those who make a difference in today’s musical landscape. This year the 2014 Academy will be touching down in Tokyo, but not before we enlist RBMA to take up their rightful position in their arena to host another monumental party at Lovebox.
Also back to Lovebox this year with her fail-proof party formula will be arena hostess Annie Mac in addition to her hotly-tipped acts chart-topping Duke Dumont, Joey Badass and Cyril Hahn.
The house and techno heads can enjoy Hotflush head-honcho Scuba along with the label’s duo of the moment Dense and Pika. House and techno boss Paul Woolford will play as well as performing under his critically lauded alias Special Request. Bronx boys The Martinez Brothers’ tribal house and techno will bring the party, and be sure not to miss Visionquest, one of the most successful dance collaborations of our time.
Purveyors of electro-boogie and nu-disco producer Tensnake and the Horsemeat Disco guys will be spinning for us in the sun, along with Huxley who’s unique and British take on house will be sure to set off Lovebox crowds alongside Birmingham bass-lover Hannah Wants.
This year’s monumentally discerning line-up is only one element of the Lovebox experience. Secret Productions have joined forces with MAMA to carefully curate one of the most jaw-droppingly impressive parties in the UK. We are extremely proud to welcome to Victoria Park, infamous Burning Man camp DISTRIKT. Known for throwing furious & fierce parties deep in the desert, the DISTRIKT penchant for benevolent mischief resonates deep in the heart of the Lovebox ethos.
Also on-site will be outrageous collective Bearded Kitten who are creating their own house party experience, home for the weekend to some of the finest DJs in the game. Lovebox welcomes the funkiest boxing-ring on the festival circuit, The Dance Off to this year’s party. As a special ADE treat, Snowbombing has released a small snippet of what to expect at next year’s festival, to whet your whistle. With more announcements to follow, including one of the most exciting headline acts to date, the initial DJ line-up already reads like a ‘Who’s Who?’ of the crème of global turntable talent.
After rating Snowbombing as one of his “2013 highlights”, Carl Cox is returning, with a brand new twist up his sleeve. For 2014 Carl will play back to back with Saved Records boss and Grammy nominated, Nic Fanciulli. The double act will battle it out in a three dimensional boxing ring placed slap bang in the middle of the Racket Club.
Carl Cox said “I can’t wait to play one of the most important festivals of the year again, I was waiting to play Snowbombing for so long, as so many amazing Dj's and live acts have played there and had an amazing time with the party people. If you love the snow and enjoy all kinds of fantastic music, this is the only one. I loved it in 2013, and I cannot wait to go back”
Reggae royalty David Rodigan MBE and his soundsystem will also make a welcome return for Snowbombing 2014. After hosting last year’s Street Party, Rodigan is no stranger to the alpine air and we can’t wait to have him back.
Having been in the industry for over 10 years, the four man DJ collective Horse Meat Disco, are making their long awaited snowy disco return for 2014. Jim Stanton said:
“We’re super excited to be throwing a party at Snowbombing with some of our favourite DJs.
“It’s one of the most unique events I can think of, blending the best in skiing and snowboarding with the best electronic music in the world”.
Also confirmed and bringing back the old school, is the legendary DJ EZ. He will be joined by one of the biggest names on the German electronic music scene, Roman Flugel who will make his first Snowbombing appearance. Redlight is also returning andwill be joined by turntable technician James Zabiela, “perpetual motion machine”, Anja Schneider and BBC Radio 1xtra and Snowbombing’s loving uncle MistaJam.
Hot Flush head honcho Scuba along with Purp & Soul’s main man Ben Pearce, Digital Soundboy Shy FX, New Yorker Antony Naples and Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe AKA PBR Streetrgang will also be on hand to shake the snow from the trees.

For all those at Latitude who are looking for late night fun and games the i Arena is the place to be this year. On Friday evening revellers can party the night away to the best dancehall sounds, courtesy of popular party crew The Heatwave, who will be bringing a little bit of Notting Hill Carnival to Suffolk. Crowds will be rum drunk and raving with the wickedest performers, scandalous dancers and plenty of banging bashment anthems.
On Saturday night the party continues with a live set from Mancunian Skittles, whose brand of breakstep, garage and electronica has been receiving lots of love from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and Toddla T. Legendary DJ Shy FX will also be rolling out the tunes, expect a flawless set jam packed full of classic jungle and drum ‘n’ bass cuts, plus everything else in between. Don’t miss out on a party with one of the original pioneers of the scene!
For any Latitude festival goers who don’t ever want the fun to stop, newcomer Tuesday Born is on hand to keep the party alive until the small hours of Monday morning. The 21 year old Londoner will be causing a stir with his fresh and exciting mix of African influenced rhythms and ethereal electronic jams. BBC Radio 1 DJ Mosca will be powering the dance floor with a set drawing on influences far and wide – expect the hottest tracks from the worlds of dancehall, grime, bashment, garage and house. Joining them is George Fitzgerald, who will be hitting the decks on Sunday evening. The London beatsmith and head of the ManMakeMusic imprint is racking up the fans for his distinctive dubstep, techno and house productions and is a formidable DJ to boot. The perfect end to what promises to be an amazing weekend in the i Arena!
Other areas of the festival will also be hosting a selection of the best DJs and electronic acts to keep the crowds entertained. In The Woods have already lined up DJs Goldierocks, Norman Jay and Fat Camp for a party like no other under the cover of the woods. Over on The Lake Stage Friday evening will feature Latitude favourites Huw Stephens and Moshi Moshi DJs, on Saturday Gareth Porter takes to the decks and rounding up the weekend on the Sunday evening will be all-girl DJ group the Vinyl Vendettas spinning the tunes as the sun slips away. Finally if cutting-edge electronic music is your bag, sets from Apparat, Walls, Dub Boy and The Field will all keep you dancing late into the night… see you there!
Just added to the bill are UK Garage legend and Kiss FM stalwart DJ EZ on Saturday, and drum’n’bass supremeo Sub Focus on Sunday. The latest additions join an already full to bursting bill of acts that include Ash, The Pigeon Detectives, Reverend and the Makers, Roots Manuva, The Correspondents, Shy FX, Zinc, Toddla T, and Jaymo & Andy George. This means the full line ups for Saturday and Sunday have now been revealed, so it’s nearly time to don the Play-suits, dust off the wellies and get on down to Play Fest!
Kick starting Saturday night in the POW! Dance Arena, is a DJ widely considered to be one of UK Garage’s greatest talents, DJ EZ! Honing his craft on London’s pirate radio stations in the early 90s, DJ EZ rose to prominence in the late 1990’s when he was offered a permanent show on Kiss 100. Over the years, DJ EZ has hosted a variety of different radio shows, mixed a bucket load of Pure Garage compilation albums that have sold over 1.7 million copies, and won a sack full of accolades and awards; including ‘Best Radio Show’, ‘Best Old Skool DJ’ and ‘Best DJ’ at the People’s Choice Awards. Play Fest revellers will be taken on a trip through the archives of UK Garage by one the best tour guides there is!
Sunday in the POW! Dance Arena welcomes even more shining lights of the electronic scene and Play Fest can now reveal that supporting Toddla T at the top of the bill for Sunday night will be Sub Focus. Having been on the scene for nearly a decade, Sub Focus is somewhat of a boy wonder of drum’n’bass. He became one of the leading practitioners within only two years of his emergence whilst his debut single ‘X-Ray’ was awarded Single of the Week on Zane Lowe’s Radio One show. In 2010 he produced the track "Kickstarts" for British singer/rapper Example, which peaked at number three on the U.K. singles chart, and last year he signed a deal with Mercury and has a new album due for release at the end of 2012. With so many strings to his bow and a sack full of heavy tunes to delight the party animals out there, Play Fest are ecstatic to have such a D’n’B heavyweight overseeing the run up to the final hours of this year’s festival!
Other additions to the Sunday POW! Dance Arena include: the musical knowledge and surefire selections of Numbers co-founderSpencer, the contrasting styles of Foamo and Bondax, while Oli D.A.B and Robin will be on hand with their particular breed of house. Rounding off the bill will be hometown hero Joshua Roberts and the techno and house vibes of Josh 2084 and BoaBoa & Fazhands.
Over in the Asylum Stage additions include the mega brass extravaganza of Gypsy Hill and Norwich home-grown reggae talent Jah Head, with Murphys Lore on Sunday and Saturday welcomes Kodeta and Woodland Creatures to the lunatic bill of the Asylum Stage!

Joining Ash, Pigeon Detectives and some amazing unsigned talent on the Main Stage, is the leading light and unmistakable face of the UK’s spoken word scene, Scroobius Pip. Taking a side step from his duo collaboration with Dan Le Sac, his Play Fest appearance will focus on his recent solo album, Distraction Piece.Be prepared for some clever and crafty prose, with insightful, thought provoking political observations and a killer bassline! Joining Pip on the Main Stage for Sunday evening is UK sunshine reggae maestro, Natty. Pulling from a variety of influences from South Africa, Italy and the UK, his style moves effortlessly from Reggae to West African Horns mixing in a fresh take on popular songs such as Armand Van Helden’s “You Don't Know Me”. Having reached both critical and popular success Play Fest are jumping for joy at the thought of seeing in the Sunday evening with Natty’s feel good summertime vibes! Another addition to the main stage bill for the Saturday evening will be North East four-piece Little Comets, their blend of tricky percussive rhythms and Afro-beat-tinged guitars has seen them labelled as the British Vampire Weekend and perfect to ease you into Play Fest’s Saturday evening!
Saturday on the Big Top Stage welcomes a very special guest, a man who needs no introduction; UK Hip-Hop supremeo, Roots Manuva who brings his mix of dub, ragga and trip-hop style to the Play Fest fields, a MOBO award winner and Mercury prize nominee, Roots Manuva has effortless charm and delivers an engaging stage show. Other acts newly confirmed for the Big Top include, Federation of the Disco Pimp, Rory McVicar and Boat to Row. These are all set to snuggle up on the Big Top bill next to the likes of the awesome electro-swing gods The Correspondents , local troubadours Killamonjambo and many more…
Play Fest can also reveal some acts for the main Dance Stage, curated by Norwich's leading electronic club night, POW! Where the best in up front electronic music can be found from some of the biggest names in the industry, alongside some world-famous party starters! The bill so far is looking pretty meaty, with; Toddla T, Shy FX, Jaymo & Andy George, Zinc, Rattus Rattus & Klose One (Urban Nerds), DJ Andy H, DJ@WAR, DJ Cable (DMC Champ), POW! Finally, it’s time to introduce Play Fest’s very own naughty corner… The Asylum stage! This is a place to fully expect the unexpected, to let your hair down and get involved in the mayhem. A spectacular mix of solo artists and bands will grace the stage during daylight hours, then as night falls, prepare for some crazy shenanigans at this late night live music venue, where some of the hottest music acts and cabaret performances from the local and UK music scene will be rocking the night away! Although the bulk of the line up is now announced, the big-hearted folk at Play Fest HQ still have a few tricks up their sleeves and are still to announce the Main Stage Sunday headliner and support, along with the dance arena Sunday headliner and a sprinkling of other gems still to add to the bill.
