UK superstar Example, Pennsylvanian rap lyricist Wiz Khalifa (this will be his only UK show of 2012) and London rap star Professor Green will also join the bill. His spring UK arena tour also sold out in an incredible 24 hours, shifting more than 100,000 tickets in the process! A dynamic and passionate performer renowned for his energetic performances and creative stage designs, Drake’s Barclaycard WirelessFestival performance is sure to be a powerful and visual spectacle.
Example will be back in full force this summer, hitting Barclaycard WirelessFestival for his forth year in a row. His latest studio album ‘Playing in the Shadows’ released in September last year, debuted at number one on the UK Album Charts and has already spawned two number one singles – ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ and ‘Stay Awake’. Pittsburgh’s hottest export, rap lyricist Wiz Khalifa, will bring his East Coast hip-hop to Hyde Park, this will be his only UK performance of 2012. A rising star with a young bravado and a charismatic execution of rhymes. His smash hit single ‘Black and Yellow’, taken from his debut album ‘Rolling Papers’, went top five in the UK last year and hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Professor Green will make a return to the Barclaycard Wireless Festival stage in 2012. The Hackney rapper’s debut album ‘Alive Til I’m Dead’, went to number two on the UK charts and included the smashes ‘I Need You Tonight’ and ‘Just Be Good To Green’. His latest album ‘At Your Inconvenience’ was released late last year with the recent single ‘Read All About It’ hitting number one, cementing him as a bonafide weapon in the UK music scene. Professor Green said:
"I'm really excited to be performing at Wireless again. Wireless 2010 was a real highlight of that year. The tent was a roadblock and it was lively. I'm confident that this year it will be bigger and better and I can't wait to get back on that stage in Hyde Park. Roll on the summer…"

Pearl Jam sold more than 15 million copies of their first two albums, leaping from obscurity to superstardom and will now take the headline slot on Saturday 23rd June at the Isle of Wight Festival2012. Responsible for popularising the Seattle grunge sound and style, Pearl Jam continue to combine guitar-heavy Led Zeppelin-influenced songs with Eddie Vedder's charismatic impassioned vocals. This will be a UK Festival exclusive and so make sure you’re there to witness what will be an unbelievable performance!
The truly eclectic line up will see British glam rock band The Darkness take the headline slot in the Big Top on Sunday 24th June closing the Festival weekend. The band, who reformed this year are renowned for their elaborate stage performances, so expect a show you won’t forget in a hurry.
Since they started releasing records fifteen years ago, Feeder have never been far from the charts or strangers to the stage. After a crowd pleasing performance in 2008 the band will open the Festival’s main stage on Friday 22nd June.
On Saturday 23rd June, Hackney boy Professor Green will bring his slick rap lyrics to the atmospheric Big Top. After recently celebrating success with the number one single ‘Read All About It’,Professor Green comes to the island for a not to be missed performance! Joining the Big Top bill is one of the biggest music success stories of 2011; Wretch 32. Loick Essien came to music almost by accident and now brings his sophisticated, smooth, accessible British urban soul style to the Big Top on Saturday 23rd June. A Brit boy bringing his unique blend of urban into the mainstream music scene is Hackney born rapper Professor Green. His debut album ‘Alive Til I’m Dead’ reached No.2 and was certified gold. Originally signed by Mike Skinner, Professor Green can count Lily Allen amongst his biggest fans and the pair secured a No.5 hit with their collaboration on ‘Just Be Good to Green.’ Times are indeed good for Professor Green, with new album ‘At Your Inconvenience’ ready for release in August. T in the Parkers will get the ultimate sneak preview when Professor Green plays T in the Park.
Professor Green said:“T in the Park was one of the few festivals that I didn’t get to play last year. I love Scotland so I was delighted to get an invite to perform. Scottish crowds go mad and they are really receptive. I look forward to bringing my band, all the hits and having a Tennent’s!”
At only 20 years old, Chipmunk had successfully released five top-ten hits including No.1 single ‘Oopsy Daisy.’ He proved he is indeed a ‘Champion’ of the British music scene when he released a track with Chris Brown called exactly that, the first track from his new album ‘Transition’ which will be released in April, packed with hit after hit that will be played at T in the Park.
OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) led by the controversial, anti-establishment visionary that is Tyler the Creator is probably the most talked-about new music collective in the world right now. Hailing from the sunny shores of Los Angeles, OFWGKTA caused quite the stir earlier this year due to the lyrics and the video of single ‘Yonkers’ and they were the talk of the town at SXSW. Tyler’s second full length album ‘Goblin’ is due for release in May (10) and it’s set to both shock and delight fans and critics alike, in a way that only Tyler the Creator seems to know how. OFWGKTA will undoubtedly put on a T in the Park show to remember.
Also hailing from London is singer/songwriter and producer Labrinth. The inaugural L.E.D festival is taking place in London’s stunning Victoria Park and kicks off on Friday 27th August, headlined by the French house superstar DJ/ Producer David Guetta, who has chosen this as his only London show this Summer. On Saturday 28th August one of the world’s most influential names in dance music history, Leftfield, will be taking to the stage and headlining exclusively in London for the first time in over a decade.
