30 more acts announced for Eastern Electrics Festival

Electronica supergroup Moderat, the adroit fusion of Modeselektor and Apparat will release the follow on from their highly acclaimed self-titled album that saw them voted no. 1 Live Act in 2009 by RA readers. The Berlin production trio will debut new material with a very special live performance at Eastern Electrics, set to coincide with the worldwide album release date. A meteoric rise to success has seen Maya Jane Coles become one of electronic music’s most sought-after talents, and with her hotly anticipated debut album dropping later this year, the pint-sized producer is only just getting started. International superstar DJ Sasha will be making his first EE appearance as will Soul Bros, a heady union of Soul Clap and The Martinez Brothers. After stand-out performances at last year’s Festival and NYE, MK, Maceo Plex, Miguel Campbell and Huxley will all be welcomed back for 2013.

Adding to the already robust techno constitution are some of the scene’s most influential innovators in the form of “The Baron Of Techno” himself, Dave Clarke, Ovum head honcho Josh Wink, Moon Harbour founder and resident of infamous DC10’s Circoloco Mathias Tanzmann, Luke Slater’s alter-ego Planetary Assault Systems and genre main-stays Raresh and Deetron.

Honouring not only the cutting edge in house and techno, but celebrating it’s heritage, Eastern Electrics 2013 will see a rare UK performance from one of house music’s most influential production duos and true pioneers, Masters At Work. With a career spanning almost two decades ‘Little’ Louie Vega and Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez are celebrated for an eclectic body of work, instrumental in helping shape the course of electronic music and earning them the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ Award at the US Dancestar Awards at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2002.

With over 40 more artists still to announce including some of the biggest names, making for a total of over 100 artists, playing 24 parties over 3 days in 1 epic location.

Eastern Electrics Founder Rob Star said:

We're really excited to be announcing another 30 quality electronic music acts today, and we're still keeping some of our biggest headliners under wraps! The full line-up pretty much consists of every artist I've ever wanted to book, my only worry now is how we're gonna top this next year! – roll on the summer!”

The Flaming Lips and Dizzee Rascal to headline The Parklife Weekender 2012

Crowning the festival’s main stage on Saturday and Sunday respectively, these two artists lead the first line-up announcement for Parklife’s third annual party. The finest pop, indie, electronic and crossover sounds are represented throughout the bill, as much-loved familiar names join many fresh faces tipped for the top in 2012’s ‘Ones to Watch’ lists. Everything is poised for a fantastic year that could very well be Parklife’s third and ‘hat trick’ sell out.

Dizzie RascalHeadliners across the festival’s other arenas include dubstep chart toppers Nero, Parisian duo Justice – Live, Mixmag’s ‘Breakthrough DJ of The Year 2011’ Maya Jane-Coles and raucous electronic Canadians Crystal Castles. The Parklife Weekender also welcomes a number of clubland’s most respected labels with Crosstown Rebels and Hospital Records sending a number of their roster to Platt Fields Park. Also pitching up for the weekend are some of the UK’s hottest promoters with Metropolis and Chibuku invited to host their own arenas.

Elsewhere the festival’s performers come from the cream of the recent music crop. The newest additions to major radio playlists, magazine cool lists and blogger best of lists, namely Totally Enormous Extinct DinosaursAzealia BanksDjango Django and Ghost Poet are all part of Parklife’s stand out line-up for this year.

Over 100 artists perform across two days on 7 arenas for only £64.50 making The Parklife Weekender what could be the best value festival on offer this year*.

2012 may only Parklife’s third year but already the festival is a huge draw, tickets to both 2010 and 2011’s events sold out at least eight weeks in advance. To avoid disappointment promoters strongly advise fans to act fast and ensure their place at the start to Manchester’s summer.

Initially known for dancefloor dismantling drum & bass, Sub Focus is now known for being synonymous with music that draws from all corners of the electronic landscape. His new single Falling Down is available for free download from his Facebook fanpage. No doubt Sub Focus’ return to the Isle of Pag will raise the roof at Hideout Festival 2012.

Having announced herself onto the electronic music scene in 2010, Maya Jane Coles has had unbelievable few years since, earning 9th best DJ in the world in Resident Advisor¹s 2011 top 100 DJs poll. A bright talent with more than a couple of strings to her bow, Maya Jane Coles will bring something very different and exiting to Hideout 2012.

Breakage, who will be making his 2nd visit to the festival, moves effortlessly through styles from drum and bass to dubstep and has proved to be one of the most versatile operators in either scene to date. His recent single Fighting Fire was endorsed by Zane Lowe as Hottest Record In The World and further support has come from Hideout favourite Annie Mac.

Kerri 'Kaoz' Chandler, a deep house music originator, has been injecting soul into music since the early nineties and unparalleled in his ability to bring an intoxicating spirit and sparkling soul to the genre, his signature sound has always stayed true to his jazz and soul roots, ensuring Kerri Chandler will light up Zcre Beach this summer.

As one of the year’s brightest techno stars Ben Klock is welcomed with open arms to Hideout 2012. The Berghain resident has been touring the globe, as well as releasing records on Ostgut Ton and his own label Klockworks and has mounted an international reputation over the last few years making his name synonymous with the rise of techno throughout the world.

Finally, Hideout 2012 welcomes Toddla T to Croatia, 2011 has been another huge year for Toddla T.
