Phase Three sees ‘Bite This’ founder Jauz return to SW4 on Saturday 24th August, after a sell out Printworks show, a day which will also witness the eagerly anticipated performance of London favourites Disciples. The trio – best known for their anthemic hits such as ‘On My Mind’ and Calvin Harris collaboration ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ – have previously hosted their own stage at the event and their return is sure to prove a huge hit with the local faithful. Packing the first day of the 2019 event with an eclectic range of sounds, former Pacha Ibiza resident Martin Solveig will also go b2b with UK chart-topper Jax Jones, with further sets from ‘Pizza’ producers Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo (aka Anti-Up) and a special live performance from the saxophone-inspired DJ/producer and musician Bakermat.
With Sunday catering for a wealth of more urban and drum & bass tones, legendary electronic duo Knife Party (comprised of Pendulum members Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen), will return to the SW4 stage for what promises to be a typically rapturous performance. Famed for their huge back-catalogue of hits including ‘Internet Friends’ and Swedish House Mafia collaboration ‘Antidote’, the duo will be joined in Clapham on Sunday by Noisia. The Dutch trio made up of Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger, will delight the London crowd with their eclectic mix of breakbeat, dubstep and bass – whilst Bristolian pair My Nu Leng and bass collective SASASAS round off the latest additions.
As devoted fans and promoters of British dance music culture, South West Four are devastated by the tragic news of Keith Flint’s passing, and have confirmed that The Prodigy are cancelling all shows. A true rave icon, the festival have expressed their sadness surrounding his death:
“We are devastated, as fans first and foremost, and our hearts go out to Keith’s friends, family and band members at this difficult time.”

France’s biggest electronic music festival Electrobeach is set to have worldwide fans gravitating to it’s latest edition, as it prepares to return to the stunning Port-Barcarès for its fourth official anniversary this July. In a line-up packing enough weight to make galactic waves, a celestial cast of David Guetta, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Axwell / Ingrosso, Hardwell, Martin Solveig and many more are amongst confirmed names for 2016 – with the festival announcing the addition of a brand new techno-focused stage for the very first time.
Constituting a solar system of acts big enough to have orbits of their own,Electrobeach eclipses all for this year’s three-day spectacular. French supernova David Guetta acts as captain, with a whole array of groundbreaking and ground-shaking artists set to join him. ‘Opus’ hitmaker Eric Prydz will make an appearance alongside Dutch superstar Martin Garrix, with the Tiësto returning in triumph as do Martin Solveig and Axwell / Ingrosso. The festival even welcomes red carpet rebel Ruby Rose to it’s A-list clique, as well as Moombahton master Dillon Francis, Nile Rodger’s and Rihanna collaboratorNicky Romero and IDMA’s number 1 Global DJ Hardwell.
Upholding the French Tricolour and all the passion of its dance community, the ‘Treasured Soul’ of Michael Calfan is confirmed, as well as one of Forbes’ ’30 Under 30’s DJ Snake. This year’s Beach Stage will be purely focused on the countries most exciting exports – welcoming the likes of Norman Doray andGregory Klosman – and sees Electrobeach putting French DJ’s and nightclub residents at its front and centre throughout the weekend. Paris’ Fun Radio are also on the scene with their specialist selectors, set to air a ‘le son dancefloor’ out of studio and under the sun; likewise, Flaix FM crash the party from Catalan to flex their own respected residents. In a festival first, Electrobeach’s patriotism will be pushed even further with a prized demonstration from thePatrouille de France – a flyover of famous flair that will fill cloudless skies in what’s set to be a stunning weekend highlight.
Proving themselves attuned to the meteoric rise of techno, Electrobeach’s next and last trick for 2016 is to call on the cut of crews in Cocoon, Luciano & Friends, and a yet to be announced third force. With Cocoon’s very own SvenVäth on board, the festival packs no punches with the addition of dance legendLuciano. Label residents Marcus Fix and Cesar Merveille will represent each brand respectively, making Electrobeach’s latest expansion both equally authentic as it is exciting.
With Electrobeach 2016 continuing to captivate crowds as it celebrates every eccentricity of the electronic music scene, its position in the festival calendar shines brightly. For those looking for a picture perfect setting and pitch perfect sound, its three-day offering is an unmissable one.
The UK’s biggest dance music festival Creamfields just got bigger with the addition of more acts to the already stacked bill! First up is a rare artist who has cleverly managed to straddle the mainstream and underground and for the first time ever at Creamfields will be performing under his techno guise Cirez D aka Eric Prydz. He’ll be joined by multi award winning, platinum record selling DJ/producers Chase & Status (DJ Set), as headliners in their own right they’ll be at the helm of an all new arena on Friday 26th August.
Flying the French flag high are three unmissable French musical powerhouses, first is an artist responsible for steering a new wave of electronic music –future house, its maestro Martin Solveig, next up is Riton, he first emerged as part of the Ed Banger crew and one half of Carte Blanche with DJ Mehdi, however the success of his recent endeavours (‘Rinse & Repeat’ anyone?) under his new moniker have firmly put him on the global map and making his Creamfields debut is mysterious G-House master Malaa. And completing the line-up are a trio of artists leading the charge in the new wave of breakthrough acts namely Ghastly, Sigala, Lee Walker and Manse.
Creamfields returns this August Bank Holiday with an unbeatable line up, with an extra day added, over 200 of the world’s hottest dance acts and this being the last ever show in the UK for headliner Avicii you can see why it’s become one of the hottest festival tickets of the year and with many of its ticket allocations already sold out Creamfields UK 2016 is on course to be its fastest selling to date.
The announcement of new names for VOLT Festival was timed for Valentine’s Day, starting –stylishly- with Bullet for my Valentine. Since the appearance of the band we know that heavy metal exists in Wales and this genre is still among the most popular ones. They know everything about heavy metal that they adopt perfectly in their music by mixing styles of their ancestors and adding aggressive and fast beats with melodic chorus.
The biggest name in this current list is probably Hurts. The romantic and melancholic British synthpop duo has been popular from the very start. Their new album, Exile, will be out 11th March, so in Sopron the duo can test the fanbase live with their new songs.
Canadian punk rock band, Billy Talent, is on the stage for 20 years now being continuously successful for playing massive rock with a hint of punk pop. This year they are not only touring the world with their big hits but playing new songs from their album ‘Dead Silence’ released last autumn.
Papa Roach are true icons of nu metal and this time they will show the crowd in Sopron why they belong to rock history. Their gig is probably one of the most awaited events at this year’s VOLT, where the biggest hits of a generation will be heard.
French DJ Martin Solveig is an outstanding representative of his nation all around the world by making easy-going, sensual and witty dance music. And he’s ready to say Hello to the crowd at Sopron this July.
Dub Fx is not coming to prove anything. He has already shown his unique and outstanding production two years ago at a full-house gig, so it was high time for him to re-visit.
Godfather of techno, Sven Väth, not only makes the audience crazy at underground venues and trendy clubs but this year promises a huge party for VOLT Festival as well.
Fritz Kalkbrenner follows the steps of his techno icon brother by performing at VOLT this summer. The audience and the industry not only knows the German DJ for being the brother of Paul, but for breaking downloading records in online stores and for being a well-known name in the party scene.
Drum’n’bass is back and its most popular name is DJ Fresh who came out with his album Nextlevelism two years ago. The British DJ is not new in clubs. He knows everything about this genre, so we will see what he brings to VOLT: a huge drum’n’bass party or a more danceable night with his well-known tracks.
The Australian Parkway Drive is familiar not only among HC fans but also teen skaters for being heavy and aggressive. It has to be seen and heard with the possible chance of the volume blowing your mind.
Music that comes from Iceland in 2013 is cool. Representing this new trend, Gus Gus will play their sophisticated pop hits this year at VOLT. Their melancholic and frozen-romantic style will probably be very refreshing in the July heat, creating a unique atmosphere at the festival.
Besides the big names, many are interested in the exact location of the 21st VOLT Festival, starting in 4 and half months. The main organizers did not reveal any new information but have confirmed that VOLT will be held in Sopron in 2013 for sure.
For now, check the video for the new names: http://youtu.be/HcrtG0vP4Ls
