Nine new artists are added to this years BIlbao BBK Live lineup which takes place on top if a hill in the mountain regions of Bilbao Spain.
Joining the previously announced headliners are Foster the People. John Newman, Conor Oberst, Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, Future of the Left, Kuroma, Allen Stone, Bleachers and Spanish heroes Vetusta Morla to the line-up of the festival.
Kings of Leon’s Grammy Nominated 6th studio album ‘Mechanical Bull’ entered the UK charts at number 1 and now they’re taking the top slot on the legendary Main Stage on Sunday 15th June.

Travis said: “We’re made up that we are making a trip back to the Isle of Wight, last time was a top gig. There's a lot of rock and roll history gone down on that little island and it's great to be a part of it again.”
We’re also excited to announce appearances from a selection of the best new and established acts, including chart toppers Travis,Clean Bandit, The Specials and John Newman. What’s more we’ve got LA duo Deap Vally, half Scottish, half Swedish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, Mercury Prize nominees The Horrors, plus the hotly tipped Gorgon City and The Strypes, all performing over the weekend.
Choral rock outfit The Polyphonic Spree, From The Jam, featuring Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler and four-piece girl groupNeon Jungle will be heading to the Island this summer. Along with, Swim Deep, Chlöe Howl and The Selecter. But if that wasn’t enough, we’re also pleased to have top producer and DJ Duke Dumont, indie rockers Peace, July Talk and iconic British bandTheMove all on the bill. Finally, rounding off this spectacular list of artists we have Dappy, British pop-rock band Lawson and newcomers The Vamps…roll on June!

With only 3 weeks to go until crowds of music fans descend upon its gates, V Festival 2013, sponsored by Virgin Media, announces that John Newman, Idris Elba, Naughty Boy, Seasick Steve and Lawson will join this year’s stellar line-up. V Festival takes place across two sites, on 17 &18 August and is headlined by Beyonce and Kings of Leon.
Brit singer John Newman shot straight to the top of the charts earlier this month with the hit single ‘Love Me Again’, and is ready to bring some soulful vibes to crowds at both sites. He’s joined by man of the moment Idris Elba, who is taking time out from leading roles in the forthcoming blockbuster ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ and BBC detective series ‘Luther’ to perform at this year’s festival. The Brit, Golden Globe winning actor and critically-acclaimed musician will make a debut festival appearance bringing some hip-hop, dance grooves to crowds.
Fresh from a string of highly anticipated summer appearances, Naughty Boy will be making his way to V Festival, and Seasick Steve returns for a second time to perform his brand of blues/rock. Popsters Lawson have also been announced performing hits including their recent Top Ten smash ‘Brokenhearted’.
V Festival prides itself on the quality of artists that perform each year, aside from headliners Beyonce and Kings of Leon other incredible acts across the weekend include Stereophonics, The Script, Emeli Sandé, Calvin Harris, Beady Eye, Jessie J, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines, Basement Jaxx, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith, Jesse Ware, James, Rita Ora, The Courteeners, FUN., Labrinth, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, James Arthur, Little Mix, and Laura Mvula.

Stepping up to the decks on a mission to keep you dancing all weekend long are BBC Radio 1’s original dance music champion Pete Tong who returns to our Wight isle to host Bestival’s All Gone Pete Tong, Fabric resident and Scrutton Street shaker Daniel Avery, Wall of Sound top boy Mark Jones and deep sea bass warrior Mumdance. Plus there will be sets from Lovesick, ComfyPorn DJs, Dan Hayes, Propaganda DJs and Across The Tracks DJs.
For the fifth year running, we are opening our doors to you lovely Bestivalites on Thursday and for our 10th birthday, we’ve got even more top drawer behaviour than ever before, with a jam-packed line-up in the Big Top that includes the amazing M.I.A., Justin Robertson, The Correspondents, Mark Jones, Sunday Best Forum Allstars, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Bike To Bestival, Courtney Pine, and our Druids Opening Ceremony all hosted by Peter Tautz The Right Toastmaster.
The Replay with Rob da Bank stage, will kick off on Thursday night, with upfront sounds from the aforementioned Mixhell, Tythe, Man Without Country, East India Youth, Dog Is Dead and Feeling Gloomy. But that’s not all as there will be plenty of seafaring shenanigans across the site with a host of stages open including The Knees-Up Tent, Grand Palace Of Entertainment, Tomorrow's World, The Bandstand, Temple Island, Club Dadaand the Polka Tent.
