Edinburgh’s Terminal V: Festival Is Officially On!

Leading electronic music festival returns in April, following the news that the genre is worth £550 million to Scotland’s Economy.

After recent speculation regarding the future of electronic music events in Edinburgh surrounding licensing concerns, Scotland’s biggest and most successful electronic music festival, Terminal V was officially granted its licence at a committee meeting in Edinburgh today.

Following on from the recent news (NTIA – UK Electronic Music Industry Report) that Electronic Music is worth £550million to the Scottish Economy, Terminal V: Festival is confirmed to take place at Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre on 8th and 9th April this year – bringing some of the world’s biggest DJ’s to the capital and firmly placing this sector leading event on Scotland’s music festival map.
Having operated a collaborative, multi agency approach from its inception, Terminal V is focussed on delivering the best production, line up and experience for its attendees, as well as remaining focussed on safety and wellbeing at the event.
Said Derek Martin, co- Festival Director, “We work extremely hard with our partners to deliver a sector leading event – in terms of production and safety. We are delighted with today’s result as it reflects how much thought and effort the team put in to ensuring Terminal V continues to lead the way in its field .We would like to thank our partners – namely Police Scotland, City of Edinburgh Council, The Royal Highland Centre, JL Medical, Amvale, TLC Welfare Crew 2000 and The Loop plus many more for all of their hard work and continued support for the event. We are privileged to work with such a committed and talented team of professionals”.
Added Co-Director, Simon McGrath, “We genuinely can’t wait to welcome our loyal fans to the Royal Highland Centre for this year’s edition of the Terminal V: Festival. With electronic music being the 2nd most popular genre of music in the UK Top 10, it’s no wonder that we, as an event, have seen 1500% growth since our first Terminal V 5 years ago. We are always adapting and developing the brand and look forward to bringing the likes of Amelie Lens, Charlotte De Witte, I Hate Models & Folamour as well as homegrown heroes Ewan McVicar and Frazi.er plus many more back to Edinburgh for an amazing weekend”.

EXIT FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR DANCE ARENA, NSNS AND URBAN BUG STAGES

ERIC PRYDZ, AMELIE LENS AND KEINEMUSIK LEADS THE MIGHTY PROGRAMME OF DANCE ARENA, THE TEMPLE OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC AT AN AWARD WINNING SERBIAN FESTIVAL!

EXIT Festival, one of the most renowned music events in Europe, is proud to announce the lineup for its Dance Arena, NSNS, and Urban Bug Stages. Featuring some of the biggest names in electronic dance music, such as Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Nina Kraviz, Keinemusik, Michael Bibi, Hot Since 82, Ben Böhmer live, CamelPhat, Mind Against, Agents Of Time live, Vintage Culture, Layla Benitez, Gioli & Assia live, Avalon Emerson, Ben UFO, Patrick Mason, Carlita, Shimza, Desiree, Partiboi 69, Cici and more, the festival promises to deliver a truly unforgettable experience for music lovers from around the world. Tickets can be found at EXIT Festival’s website, starting from 87€ for regular and 300€ for VIP GOLD, while one-day tickets are scheduled to start on March 15th at noon.

For over 20 years, the Dance Arena at EXIT Festival has grown into a planetary phenomenon, a place that leading global media and artists have proclaimed the best electronic music stage in the world. Countless legendary nights and mornings have added their contributions each year to the creation of a place that has become much more than a stage, a piedmont of the entire scene, a magnificent temple of electronic music.

This July, the trench at Petrovaradin Fortress will shine with a special energy from July 6th to 9th due to one of its strongest editions led by the absolute number 1 of the electronic scene, Eric Prydz, whose performance has been awaited by the audience at EXIT and in Serbia for a whole decade! He is at the head of a mega-strong list of names that will take over the Dance Arena, consisting of international heroes and heroines such as Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Nina Kraviz, Keinemusik, Michael Bibi, Hot Since 82, Ben Böhmer live, CamelPhat, Mind Against, Agents Of Time live, Vintage Culture, Layla Benitez, Gioli & Assia live, and regional performers including Tijana T, Space Motion, Coeus, and Marko Nastić, who will celebrate 25 years of their work. A fresh current is also coming to the nearby, younger, and progressive sister stage, NSNS, whose main attractions are Avalon Emerson, Ben UFO, Patrick Mason, Carlita, Shimza, Desiree, Partiboi 69, and Cici.

The curiosity of this year’s festival is not only in the super-strong program but also in EXIT’s special vision for the opening and closing of the festival. Not only will the first day of the Dance Arena be completely entrusted to the direction of an all-female lineup consisting of Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Tijana T, and Miju, but it is also probably the strongest techno lineup that is possible to assemble in one place today. The closing set of the Arena and the festival this summer will, with great excitement, be handed over to the most sought-after house collective of today – Keinemusik, who will also perform after the official program closing at the official after-party, all together for a minimum of six hours! “We will stay until Tuesday” is one of the comments on social media after the online campaign was launched to have these grandmasters close the Arena.
Along with these two, one of the stages with the longest tradition at EXIT, Urban Bug stage,  has also added a long list of local and regional artists to its line up.

A fantastic wave of new names closes this year’s electronic program of EXIT and joins a series of previously confirmed names coming to Novi Sad, such as The Prodigy, Wu-Tang Clan, Skrillex, Alesso, Viagra Boys, Chase & Status, Claptone, SOFI TUKKER, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, LF System, and many others. With such an incredible lineup of talent, this year’s EXIT Festival is sure to be an event not to be missed.
One-day tickets sales begin on March 15th at noon. A limited contingent will be available at a gift price of 39 € + b/f for all days. Four-day tickets are now on sale starting from 87 € + b/f. For more details on the festival and the full lineup, visit the EXIT Festival website.

Shëngjin, Albania
FB / IG / TW: @unumfestival
UNUM is not like other festivals. It isn’t a smash and grab, in and out rave. It’s a coming together of like minded people and six days of almost non-stop music in secluded locations. As the grooves ebb and flow, you plot your own journey whether that’s dancing on a beach at sunrise, getting lost amongst the trees on the Pine Stage or exploring the historic local town and all its rich cultures and customs.
Taking place June 1-6th, today more than 40 names are added to the bill including Hot Since 82, Marco Carola, Janeret, Cap, Cesar Merveille, Doudou MD, Dungeon Meat, Magda, Nick Curly, Pol, Reiss, The Ghost, Youandewan and more, with over 25 local talents, emerging artists and future stars also playing. These additions come on top of the first wave of names including Ricardo Villalobos, Dyed Soundorom, Rhadoo, Raresh, Praslea, Sonja Moonear, Margaret Dygas, tINI and plenty of others. Tickets always sell out for this most cultured of musical gatherings so make sure you are part of the story by getting yours at https://www.unumfestival.com/.
UNUM has become a cult favourite festival because it started small and has grown naturally and organically as word has got out. It’s a truly authentic musical experience with a focus on world class sound and boutique stages that offer dreamy places to dance. There are no sound limits, no time restrictions, just plenty of freedom to explore, enjoy and soak up new sights, sounds and scenes. The famously friendly and in the know crowd is made up of a mix of people from all over the world, with many locals enriching the diverse dance floor.
It all goes down in the hidden secret paradise of Rana e Hedhun, a quiet corner of Europe in the town of Shëngjin on the picture-perfect Albanian coastline. On the sweeping beach you can enjoy uninterrupted sun and sea with a stunning mountain range in the distance and magical pine forests behind you. As well as the music there is a broad mix of heart-racing water sports, mouthwatering local food and drink offerings and plenty of isolated bays and secluded woodland areas to explore.
This year Animal Crossing host Friday night on the iconic Pines Stage, Sunrise Romanians take over Saturday night and Slapfunk take care of Monday. These three events are sure to be highlights of the whole experience which also includes headline sets from mainstays such as Marco Carola, Hot Since 82, Ricardo Villalobos and plenty more cutting edge names from the worlds of techno, minimal, electro, house and garage.
Add in plenty of beach parties, organic production across the site and unreal musical memories that you will cherish for a lifetime and UNUM is another irresistible proposition for summer 2023.

Sandbox has established itself over the last decade as a must-attend event for true music, travel and culture lovers. It is a place to connect with like minded souls, soak up the safe and beautiful local environment, enjoy blissful sunsets and special sunrises. As well as the music, you can get the adrenaline going with kite-surfing, desert excursions and hikes, diving, boating, dining and so much more.
Musically, you can expect multiple stages of local and international music all with their own look, sound and feel and a tasteful cross-section of the most cutting edge electronic sounds from across the spectrum. Sandbox’s influential line-ups have helped pioneer an underground scene by being the first to bring international names like Peggy Gou, Dixon, Damian Lazarus, Monolink, Denis Sulta and tens more to the region. Its tastemaking annual line-ups get bigger and better each year and in 2023 that is the case once more.
This year there are many highlights including a  special back-to-backs between Carlita and DJ Tennis as Astra Club and Hamish & Toby, with live sets from HVOB and Oden & Fatzo and special DJ sets from Agents Of Time and The Blaze. Detroit is represented by the one and only house magician that is the Mahogany Music boss Moodymann, with label artist Dan Shake and fellow Midwest star Seth Troxler also bringing the heady grooves.
Expect plenty of slick minimal, breaks, electro and techno from deep diggers like CiCi, Francesco Del Garda, Sugar Free, Palms Trax and Palestine’s trailblazer Sama’ Abdulhadi, with soulful sounds from Carista, deep tech from &ME, party starting selections from the playful Denis Sulta and always floor filling Grammy nominee Jayda G with more besides from Deer Jade, Desiree, DJ Seinfeld, Fulltone, La La, Kotoe, Madmotormiquel, Nickodemus, Olympe, Paramida, Serge Devant and Vinyl Mode.
With guaranteed great weather, mouthwatering local cuisine and plenty of history and heritage to explore, Egypt is an essential and affordable travel destination that is easily accessible by air and is just a 30-minute ride from the town of El Gouna.
