London’s Ceremony Festival announce full lineup for 2015

Headlining Ceremony’s main stage are The Martinez Brothers, playing a London festival exclusive for summer 2015! The two Bronx-bred DJs are at the heart of today’s house and techno scene. Raised on their father’s love of New York’s Paradise Garage, the brother’s taste for classic house sounds encapsulates everything Ceremony aims to showcase – innovation, energy, and a wealth of musical heritage. Pushing this concept further is long-serving house DJ and producer Armand Van Helden, whose exclusive classic 90s set will explore his deep-rooted affiliation with New York’s club scene, going back to his roots and the string of seminal tracks he crafted under an array of aliases early in his career. Fellow American and Hot Creations label owner Lee Foss will be on-hand to represent the techno sounds of his hometown of Chicago. Elusive Parisian Shiba San will also feature, who has hit the ground running following the release of ‘Okay’ via Dirtybird last year, with support also coming from one half of No Fit State label owner Geddes and the legendary Artwork. With further appearances from London based duoEli & Fur, an ambassador of the original Jackin’ Chicago house sound, Weiss, and the inimitableMenendez Brothers, Ceremony’s main stage will be an incredible celebration of the past, present and future of electronic music culture.
Following what promises to be his biggest Ibiza season to date, Found Series favourite, DJ Sneak brings his I’m A House Gangster movement to host Ceremony’s second arena, joined by some of his closest allies. Grammy Award nominated Todd Terry and Harry Romero – who joined Pete Tong’s Hall of Fame in 2013 – help to make up a bill that represents some of house music’s most influential producers alongside the legendary talents of Doc Martin. Bringing a taste of techno to the House Gangster arena,Ramon Tapia joins ranks having recently scooped a season residency for Magna Carta at Sankeys Ibiza, with Jesse Perez rounding off the programme.

Having featured at last year’s inaugural edition, Santé and Sidney Charles will return to Ceremony Festival with a special AVOTRE stage takeover. Heavily supported by Found since its inception, the label’s main men are renowned for their electrifying back-to-back sets that are constantly jam-packed with heavy club rollers most recently demonstrated in their 2014 summer smash ‘All Night Long’. Also joined by DJ Mag’s ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ of 2014 Josh Butler, is special guest Hector Couto, whose recent releases alongside Cuartero and Darius Syrossian have seen his reputation rapidly accelerate.  Crosstown Rebels cohort Russ Yallop is also billed, as well as emerging Liverpudlian Dale Howard and up and coming member of the AVOTRE collective, Kalyde

Tipping their cap to powerful and ongoing influence of UK garage on the electronic world, is Ceremony’sHeritage stage, which will be fronted by one of the godfathers of garage house, Todd Edwards. Known for collaging cut-up samples over swung beats and disco flavoured bass lines, Edwards’ four-to-the-floor beats have earned him a passionate following that most recently won him incredible acclaim for his collaboration with Daft Punk on ‘Fragments of Time’. Former frontman of The Streets and bonafide legend of the UK scene, Mike Skinner, will also feature alongside the duo-alias of Scott Garcia and Sticky’s Foundation – two of the most influential names in UKG. Sets are also confirmed from figureheads Matt Jam Lamont and Grant Nelson  – who between them have been integral in shaping the genre’s lineage – as well as back-to-back’s from KMA Productions and Narrows, and Groove Chronicles and Mike Ruff Cut Lloyd. Another super special guest is set to be revealed before the day.

The London grime scene is at the top of its game again, with huge cultural influence in 2015. After resounding popularity of their showcase at Urban Nerds stage at last year’s Ceremony, Tropical fly the flag for grime and have now been let loose with a whole arena to themselves. Lead by one half of collective and label Boy Better Know, JME will be joined by a second, more gritty appearance from Todd Edwards as well as showcases from Birmingham-born grime and garage producers, Preditah and C4. Dubstep and grime innovator Plastician will also return to Ceremony alongside loyal representativesLogan Sama and Slimzee, whilst representing grime’s next generation is one of the most promising new voices in the scene, Novelist, and his collective The Square. A special guest of epic proportions within the grime scene is still to be announced.

London’s leading hip-hop night So Fresh So Clean are set to return to Ceremony Festival to deliver the very best in classic hip-hop and R&B from the 90s and double-ohs. Joining a very special headliner is prolific London hip-hop selector, Harry Love, a former Scratch Perverts member and one of the scene’s most beloved DJs, with a reputation that’s seen him support the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye West and Run DMC and tour with the likes of Dizzee Rascal. London’s original DJ MK and So Fresh party founders The Menendez Brothers will be in check, as well as Hutch, Dan Hills and a back-to-back with Alex Crescent and Nite Sleaze, So Fresh So Clean will ensure the vibe never falters.

Undercover lifestyle hotline Sports Banger have probably hit a venue near you with their Swamp81, RinseFM and School Records affiliated brand of party mischief. The brand is cemented by a quintessentially British t-shirt line and limited sportswear runs as probably worn by one of your favourite DJs, at some point. They bring fun and games to the Ceremony Festival 2015 VIP with an extra special line-up full of surprises and led by Artwork, a DJ who knows how to throw a party better than most. As ever VIPs jump the queue and once inside the ride, can bask in the glory of a cocktail bar, a half decent bite to eat and most importantly, some luxury loos, all soundtracked by Jonny Banger's famous DJ mates.

Ceremony Festival full lineup announced

With the full programme for both festival and After Party now revealed Found presents: Ceremony explores 360 degrees of underground dance culture, looking to the past, present and future to present a stellar multi-arena celebration at Finsbury Park on the 13th September. Featuring the early influencers, the new school and the future vanguards of electronic sound, expert party starters FOUND will deliver an ideal way to round off the summer season with the likes of Inner City LIVE, Louie Vega, Lil Louis, DJ Sneak, Richy Ahmed, Claptone, DJ W!ld, Roy Davis Jr, Route 94, Nick Curly, Simon Baker, Todd Terry and many more…

Continuing the party over at Egg London, Ceremony’s after party will run for a colossal twelve hours running between 10pm – 10am, across five rooms of music. A refined cut of the Ceremony line up, the marathon party will feature the firm FOUND favourite DJ Sneak, much loved for his gangster induced Chicago house that’s a sure fire winner on the dance floor. Also representing the US are the legendary Todd Terry and Roy Davis Jr, who will both serve up their unique take on house that seemingly paved the way for its predecessors. Crosstown Rebels mainstay Fur Coat will also feature, whilst Citizen, Simon Baker, Applebottom and The Menendez Brothers complete the line up. With very limited £13.50 tickets on sale now, the after party promises to be particularly special for those who like it longer, with Egg’s new outdoor garden terrace providing a stylish and unique party setting.

Building on FOUND’s reputation for hosting unforgettable parties, Ceremony has been expertly crafted to deliver the very best musical experience for its partygoers.  Featuring a total of 7 arenas, line-ups for a further two stages of music have now been revealed with red hot west London promoters, So Fresh So Clean set to make their festival debut. After launching in 2013, close members of the FOUND family, So Fresh So Clean have rejuvenated the West London clubbing scene with their classic hip-hop and RnB jams from the 90s and double-ohs. Headlining the stage is Todd Terry, who will grace the turntables with his ground breaking underground sound that originally hit big in the UK before his native home of the US. A bastion of true, fresh house music, the Grammy nominated producer will play an exclusive old school hip-hop set that excellently personifies the So Fresh So Clean ethos, and is a must-see for those hoping to get that house party feeling. Having already amassed a fun loving fan base, the So Fresh So Clean residents The Menendez Brothers, Rollo and Remi, will get the gin and juice flowing and ensure the vibe never falters. Supporting acts include Dan Hills, Alex Crescent, Nite Sleaze, Hutch and Get Dippy, all offering a slice of London’s most cutting edge 90s infused beats.

The seventh and final arena will be hosted by legendary record label and promotion outfit Groove Odyssey. With deeply rooted ties tracing back to seminal figures of house such as Kerri Chandler, Joey Negro and Kenny Dope, Groove Odyssey are perfectly placed to complete Ceremony’s journey through sonic history and beyond. One of the most prolific house vocalists of all time, Robert Owens tops the bill for some throwback Chicago classics for what will undoubtedly be a memorable session. A FOUND boiler room set with the late visionary Frankie Knuckles last year proved he is a deft hand at conjuring groove inducing sets, and his performance for Groove Odyssey will be no exception. East end twins Bobby & Steve accompany the Groove Odyssey line up, famed for their soulful Garage sounding ‘Zoo Experience’. Next up is Paul Trouble Anderson, a mainstay of the London soulful house music scene for well over 25 years and renowned for his disco-infused, funky house that has rocked many a warehouse party. Fellow Londoner’s Phil Asher and Jazzy M will bring a hefty helping of vintage house music, whilst duo’s DJ Leo & Funky Smith and Joel S & Panther will take the musical journey through to the late 90s. Continuing to incorporate each sub genre of house is Kev Chase, with Randy Peterson & Yooks and David Bailey & Ted Lawrence completing Groove Odyssey’s legendary line up.

Found have also revealed fun-filled theme for their VIP arena which will be transformed into a jungle for the day. VIP tickets offer an extra stage of music, additional bars, seating area, luxury facilities and fast-track entry.

Damian Lazarus, Frankie Knuckles and more for Found Festival

FOUND Festival is pleased to reveal their class of 2014, a mammoth line-up that celebrates the very best in world-class electronic music, delivered by a string of artists renowned for outstanding contributions to forging and developing the strands of house, techno and disco that dominate around the globe today. This set of DJs will converge from across London, the UK, Europe and the United States, all carefully chosen for a relentless commitment and dedication to their craft. FOUND has placed genuine pioneers with some of the most hot-tipped up-and-comers on the circuit today, delivering a 360 degree selection that looks to the clubs and to the clubbers for inspiration. Introducing a line-up for the true lovers of the very best in underground electronic music…

Found’s open-air Main Stage will be headlined by one the industry’s most respected figures, in the form of Crosstown Rebels’ commander in chief, Damian Lazarus. As well as running one of the most influential imprints currently dominating the scene, he also scooped no. 35 in Resident Advisor’s ‘Top 100 DJs’ poll last December. Lazarus has been a central driving force in the world domination of second-wave house thanks to a truly exceptional ear for the sound, prevalent in his skills as Crosstown’s chief A&R and the stellar line-ups that assemble at his highly acclaimed Day Zero festival in Mexico. Ever evolving, unsurpassed in his feel for the depth of the music, Damian is a headliner set to surprise. There aren’t many DJs who’ve received a sitting ovation on the dancefloor but Damian Lazarus is definitely one of them. Another veteran, for over ten years Cassy has developed her craft through an outstanding body of work, releasing on seminal labels such as Ostgut Ton, Perlon, Playhouse and Cocoon. As well as highly respected residencies at Panorama Bar Berlin, Trouw Amsterdam and the Rex in Paris, Cassy continues to tour the planet delivering house & techno with real soul. Joining Damian & Cassy is self-proclaimed ‘House Gangster’ DJ Sneak. A true pioneer, not only is he one of the scene’s most revered figures but after 30 years at the top of his game, continues to redefine house music with a steady string of releases. Original mistress of the dancefloor and BBC Radio 1 resident Heidi is notorious for her explosive sets, her natural ability to connect with the audience and obvious joy at sharing the music she loves, makes her perfect choice to keep the party pumping. Always looking to the future, Found Festival’s main stage will also showcase some of the most exciting emerging talent in the form of the dexterous Ben Pearce, who burst onto the scene in 2012 with his anthemic deep house debut, ‘What I Might Do’ and has quickly cemented his reputation as a world-class figure on the electronic music circuit. Having recently launched his own label Purp & Soul, 2014 looks tipped to be his biggest year yet. Award-winning Frenchman Noir has been making waves for over a decade. With a keen ear for music, his label of the same name has seen releases from the likes of Solomun, Deetron, Sub-ann, Tiefschwars, Laura Jones and Hot Since 82. Dancefloor pounding sets will also come from Hotflush’s mysterious techno duo Dense & Pika, Ejeca with his trademark vocal driven emotive sound, the sumptuously groovy Josh Butler and Leftwing & Kody – two of the most revered DJs on London’s underground house circuit today.

NoFitState will present a line-up that explores the tension between house and techno with legendary minimal producer Magda and Mobilee’s Anja Schneider both taking headline slots. House music purist Darius Syrossian enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in 2013 with residencies for infamous party brands Tribal Sessions and Viva Warriors. With further releases set to drop in the coming months he continues to gain momentum as an artist of international repute and summer 2014 will see him rise to the challenge with his own series of events on the White Isle. Adding to the formidably female programme, Crosstown Rebels’ Francesca Lombardo is renowned for her distinctively soulful production style that joins the dots between house and techno, with support from respected NoFitState residents, label founders and London house stalwarts, Geddes and Simon Baker.

Free spirited Love Fever have assembled a dancefloor busting programme of fun-fuelled beats, spearheaded by a man widely recognised as one of the Godfathers of house, Frankie Knuckles. Joining him, the legendary international selector Moodymann who has been a central figure of Detroit’s underground music scene for nearly two decades. Representing the nu-wave are disco-tinged, garage-house production duo Bicep. Having shot to fame with their 2012 smash hit single ‘Vision Of Love’ they have also cemented a reputation as tastemakers through their much loved music blog ‘Feel My Bicep’. Early demos from San Soda inspired the inception of record label We Play House, founded by his peer Red D. Citizen has been attracting much attention in the past two years, with remixes for international superstars such as Adele and Beyoncé already under his belt despite his tender years. Fresh talent from rising label residents Son of Sun and Visions will complete Love Fever’s Found Festival line-up.

Offering a brand new VIP concept, Krankbrother will present ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’, drawing on their experiences in both restaurants and club nights to curate an afternoon of the best in house music, festival food, cocktails & craft beer. Leftfroom label boss Matt Tolfrey will head the bill in this unique space. Known for his forward-thinking, playful sets he will create a sonic landscape to lose yourself in with further contributions coming from Jay Shepherd, Jack C and the krankbrothers themselves – set to play both solo and back-to-back, as they’re joined by one of the Found Main Stage artists to round off the day with a very special set.

Slam Tent lineup revealed for T in the Park

Bringing cutting edge beats, a top of the range lighting spec and the big club atmosphere straight to the heart of the Scottish countryside, Slam 2013 will see the most in-demand DJs and hottest mixing talent take to the decks over 12th – 14th July. Festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have today unveiled a phenomenal line-up curated by world renowned dance powerhouse Slam, and have announced that for the second year running the Slam Tent will open on the Friday night, giving dance fans a whole extra night to party.

Richie Hawtin

More than anyone else in modern electronic music, Richie Hawtin has made his mark on electronic music by being inventive and relentlessly proving himself to be a true innovator. The one-man mogul behind acclaimed techno imprints Plus 8 & Minus sends constantly evolving signals out all over the world and his DJ reputation has earned him many Best International DJ awards with fans and the music industry. His Plastikman persona has given techno a unique face with a series of four ruthlessly minimal albums of skeletal beauty and his breathtaking live sets have packed dancefloors across the globe, and helped to invent stadium techno. Having performed a rare live set as Plastikman in 2010 in the Slam Tent, he returns to DJ at T in the Park this summer for the first time since 2008.

Swedish techno master Adam Beyer has been spinning a wide range of hiphop, hiphouse, acid and techno since the early 90s. His own hard, percussive and loop oriented style and deft production skills have made him one of the world’s most in demand producer/DJs and his meteoric rise has been cited as one of the catalysts for Swedish techno’s current influence.

Voted Best DJ of 2012 in a Resident Advisor poll, Detroit-born Seth Troxler continues to ignite the world of house and techno with a constant barrage of vocal jams. Having collaborated with major dance luminaries, he is one of the most in demand DJs and producers in the world.

Flying the flag for Berlin’s infamous Berghain nightclub and Ostgut Ton record label, Ben Klock &Marcel Dettmann (b2b) are known for their uncompromising take on techno, both in production and DJing style. The pair have won plaudits for bringing a raw and authentic feel back to techno and will get the Slam crowd going with their famous Berghain sound when they play a special back to back DJ set.

In the past two decades, Slam  have defined techno in Scotland, cultivated many artists of note on their Soma label, and remixed everyone from Daft Punk to Underworld. Their weekly Slam Radio show has become the most listened to techno show on Soundcloud attracting listeners from around the globe.  The legendary UK duo Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle have travelled far and wide, leaving scorch marks on dance floors across the world and return home to T in the Park for the festival’s 20th year.

Three of the world’s greatest DJ pioneers DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter & Mark Farina (b2b) are sure to deliver a jawdropping set. One of house music’s true pioneers, DJ Sneak’s signature funky filtered disco-influenced house and tough, jacking beats have revolutionised and redefined the genre for well over 15 years. Derrick Carter and Mark Farina are two great pinnacles of Chicago house music's '90s wave, and the three unite for a very special set at T in the Park.

Next up is minimal house and techno connoisseur Nina Kraviz. The Russian producer, singer and DJ made a name for herself through hosting her own night at Moscow’s legendary Club Propaganda before taking her own brand of deep-house and soulful techno on tour, filling the dancefloors across the globe.

Dirtybird boss and tech-funk producer/DJ Claude VonStroke has headlined almost every major club, festival and basement after-party in the world. His outdoor dirtybird parties in San Francisco's scenic Golden Gate Park have become a legendary summer destination point for music fans, and he’ll surely get the crowd going in the Slam Tent this summer.

Leading the new wave of talented producers to emerge from Bristol within recent years, Eats Everything aka Daniel Pearce has defined a whole new genre of forward-thinking underground house music. Drawing elements from classic house, UK bass music, Detroit techno, jungle and early rave, he pays homage to everything from Randy Crawford to Ray Charles and Murk to MK.

Numbers co-founder Jackmaster’s star is rapidly rising, as showcased at parties from his native Glasgow to Berlin to New York, and from superclubs such as Berghain and Fabric to legendary underground warehouse raves. With a new monthly show as part of BBC Radio 1′s In New DJs We Trust series under his belt, he’s sure to receive a local hero’s welcome at T in the Park.

Mired in British dance culture, Joy Orbison's brand of garage-house marries elements of house, two-step, jungle, techno and dubstep and has been attracting major critical acclaim. Alongside the release of the gargantuan Hyph Mngo which was hailed as the most essential purchase of the season and material on his own imprint Doldrums, notorious mixes for Radio 1 and Ministry have well and truly cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s hottest new talents.

Also heading to the Slam Tent this summer are Glasgow’s own DJ/production duo Silicone Soul. They are set to release an album on Soma to mark ten years since their subterranean parallel project and label Darkroom Dubs first unleashed its uniquely idiosyncratic take on house music. Charged with the purest distillation of the edgy early hours spirit from which house music was originally forged, Darkroom Dubs has become renowned for Silicone Soul’s walks on the dark side; the ultimate bastion of deep electronic dance music.

Back for its 17th year at T in the Park, the Slam Tent has an atmosphere second to none, with many more artists to be announced. The unveiling of another top-notch line-up set to rumble the walls and raise the roof of the tent comes hot on the heels of the announcement that electronic pioneers Kraftwerk will play the festival’s 20th year in July, meaning T in the Park truly is the ultimate destination for discerning dance music fans.

Organisers are set to unveil yet more top acts for the T20th bill next week, with headlinersMumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus KraftwerkEmeli Sandé, The Script, Two Door Cinema Club, alt-J, Paloma Faith, Jake Bugg, Of Monsters and Men and Azealia Banks already confirmed.
