Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion has been confirmed as the third and final headliner for this years surf and music festival Boardmasters in Cornwall.
Snoop lines up against previously announced Bastille and Chase & Status to perform on the Cornish coastline this summer.

Bastille and Chase & Status have been confirmed to headline Boardmasters 2014, the UK’s biggest surf and music festival, which will take place on the stunning Cornish coastline from Wednesday 6 August to Sunday 10 August. Ben Pearce,Dan Croll, Palma Violets, Bipolar Sunshine,George Ezra + plus many more have also been confirmed to play across the weekend at the Watergate Bay site, with a whole host of acts still to be announced including the third headliner.

This year’s 4 times BRIT Award nominated band Bastille quickly become one of the biggest bands in the UK since they broke onto the music scene last year with their debut album ‘Bad Blood’. To date the album has clocked up over a quarter of a million sales in the UK alone, becoming the biggest selling debut album of the year so far and still remains in the UK top 10. The band’s single ‘Pompeii’ has become one of the stand out tracks of the year with over half a million sales to date.
Electro duo Chase & Status released their Gold selling debut album ‘More Than A Lot’ in 2008. Since then they have gone on to collaborate with the likes of Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, White Lies, Cee-Lo Green and Plan B. Their most recent album ‘Brand New Machine’ stormed the UK charts reaching the no.2 spot in October 2013. Renowned for their electrifying live shows the Drum & Bass maestros are sure to give an explosive performance.

Established in 1981, Boardmasters is a 5-day event situated in two legendary locations in Cornwall. Boardmasters opens on Wednesday 6 August at Fistral Beach, the UK’s surfing mecca and will host the festival’s surf, BMX and skate competitions in addition to the ‘Beach Sessions’ gigs. The festival continues down at Watergate Bay, arguably the most picturesque festival site in the UK with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the ocean for a weekend of explosive live music. The festival has grown year on year with 2013 seeing over 150,000 visitors.
For 2014, Boardmasters continues its residence at renowned surf hot spot, Fistral Beach, hosting five-days of thrilling surfing. From Wednesday 6 August to Sunday 10 August a record number of fans, friends and family is expected to watch the competition unfold. Surf categories will include Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Longboard, Pro Junior, Under 16’s and the Air Show. The festival is embracing even more home grown talent than ever before. 2014 is already looking likely to be a record year.
Boardmasters never fails to attract the biggest names in skateboard and BMX and this year will not disappoint!
Those familiar with the event will remember last year’s incredible set up and will be delighted to know Boardmasters will be providing the mini setup again including public open sessions and public jam competitions. Public Skate competitions will be taking place on Wednesday 7th from 11am at Fistral Beach with public BMX competitions take place on the Thursday with practice from 11am
From the PRO skateboard world you can expect to see the likes of Sam Pulley, Frank Faria, Ben Grove,James Threlfall, Adam Keys, Salar Kooshki, Isaac Maxwell amongst others. BMX enthusiasts can look forward to PROs including likes of Alex Coleborn, Tom Justice, Angus Gough, Anthony McGuirk, Luke Padgett and Tom Isted all competing for their share of the £10k prize pot.
For years now skating has been one of the main highlights of the Fistral Beach site, the competition always amassing a crowd. With the freedom to roll on the mini ramp, the stylish Boardmasters skaters take the competition to the limit, gapping and grinding to their heart's content. Whether you're new to the sport or a bonafide skate fan, the Fistral Beach skate competition is a must-see.
BMXing has been a massive part of the Boardmasters experience for years and with such a strong contingent of BMX talent in the South West, the turnout is always top-class. During the day the BMX athletes battle it out on our purpose built park to a backdrop of crashing waves and sun-drenched applause. There's no need to purchase a ticket to watch any of the BMX or skate events, so head down to the Fistral Beach site in your own time and take in the athletic displays.
Boardmasters are thrilled to announce that the View Stage Line up is complete. Arguably one of the most beautiful stages on the festival scene this is a perfect fit with the artists selected to perform there this year.
On the menu for 2013 is Sweet Baboo (Stephen Black), a native of the north Wales countryside and a single-minded, idiosyncratic singer. Black possesses an ear for a sparkling melody, a restless soul, and a gift for a deft lyrical turn – from darkly funny to piercingly tender, twinklingly boastful to deliciously self-deprecating.
Joining Sweet Baboo is 18-year-old Saint Raymond who has been receiving attention for his self-penned debut EP which has recently been released on Gabrielle Aplin’s Never Fade Records label. Saint Raymond’s video has already received over 30,000 plays on YouTube and he recently completed support slots for Jake Bugg, Lewis Watson, and Lauren Aquilina and is currently on tour in Europe supporting Gabrielle Aplin.
The line up doesn't stop there with Isaiah Dreads also confirmed for this years spectacular event. Isaiah Dreads is a 15 year old rapper from the South West who despite his tender age is already making a mark on the industry. Isaiah has been heavily involved in music since the age of 6 due and from the age of 7 he was writing his own lyrics and was booked into his first studio by the age of 9. This young talented is guaranteed to have festival-goers undivided attention with his incredible raping skills.
Boardmasters are also proud to once again bring incredible local talent to the View stage with artists White Bicyles, Ben Jordan and Joss White as well as Rich Stephenson, Stevie Ray and Franklin.
This plethora of talent will be joining the already announced View stage headliners including acoustic wonders Josh Kumra, Andy Burrows and Cosmo Jarvis.
There is plenty on offer at Fistral in the evenings with the popular Marley Presents Beach Sessions taking place in the surf shack bar.
Music, beach and festival lovers can gather from 7.30-12am on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th to hear the harmonious sounds of some of the world’s favourite bands and artists.
