London ladies Stooshe have stormed onto the music scene and into the charts this year with smash hit single Love Me, featuring US rapper Travie McCoy. Nominated in the BBC's Sound of 2012 poll, there’s sure to be many more hits to come from their forthcoming debut album Swings and Roundabouts.
As well as the talent, New York four-piece Here We Go Magic have quite the tale to tell. During a particularly difficult show last year they spotted two men in the front row who, in their words, were ‘dancing around like maniacs’. These two ‘maniacs’ turned out to be none other than Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and legendary producer Nigel Godrich, resulting in Godrich’s decision to produce the band’s third album, A Different Ship – the band’s most remarkable and captivating album yet.

Gary Beck is regarded as one of the most prolific and inventive producers in the current electronic music scene. Renowned for his own unique sound, Gary is currently in high demand all over the world. Championed by many of the biggest names in techno, including Pete Tong, Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Len Faki, Nic Fanciulli and Richie Hawtin, Gary is set to release his début album on Slam's Soma Recordings in autumn this year.
HansBouffmyhre started off promoting his own party in Glasgow called 'Sleaze' booking and playing alongside some of the world’s best Techno acts. His own releases have gained huge support from the best in Techno, including Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Len Faki, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Laurent Garnier, Stephan Bodzin, Joris Voorn and many more. At only 24, the future looks bright for Hans Bouffmyhre.

Donald Glover raps under the stage name Childish Gambino. Raised just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, Glover has a versatile résumé, with an array of established talents including acting and stand up comedy but with his debut commercial album, Camp, it’s his music and the battle-ready rhymes in his songs that’s currently got everyone talking and T in the Park fans will see why this summer.
For fans who like to throw the very best of pure pop into their festival mix, T in the Park are pleased to welcome McFly. They may have started off as a squeaky clean pop band, but these boys have grown up! McFly are a boy band with a big difference, having managed to break away from their recording deal to launch their own independent label to allow them artistic and creative freedom. Californian psych rockers TheBrian Jonestown Massacre achieved cult status with their starring role in the notorious 2004 rockumentary Dig! The band won themselves even more fans when their track Straight Up and Down was used as the opening theme to hit TV series Boardwalk Empire. With their legendary psychedelic jams and killer hooks, they’ll no doubt treat the crowd to old hits, as well as new material from the soon to be released Aufheben, their 13th studio album to date.
York-born acoustic singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich is hotly tipped for the top. His first single, Pictures (taken from his EP of the same name), was declared "The Hottest Record in the World Today" by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, and his majestic debut album Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm is earning him major critical acclaim.
London five-piece Zulu Winter are also capturing the eyes and ears of fans and critics alike and the quintet’s catchy and anthemic indie-dance, atmospheric synth-pop went down a storm at their recent NME Awards show.

California-based roots rock band Dawes make their big debut this summer. Their rich West Coast harmonies and vintage Americana sound has earned them comparisons to Crosby, Stills and Nash and Neil Young, and they’ll showcase material from their highly acclaimed second album Nothing is Wrong.
Balado will be booming with the big beats and heavy basslines of London-based drum and bass act Nero. Elbow are a band renowned for their stunning songwriting ability as well as their amazing live performances. Since forming in 1990, the band have been recognised for both, achieving an accolade of awards including two Ivor Novello Awards for best contemporary song and best song musically and lyrically for the singles Grounds for Divorce and One Day Like This respectively. The Bury five-piece also won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for their album The Seldom Seen Kid. 2012 will be another big year for Elbow as they have been chosen to provide the soundtrack to BBC’s coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games, as well as delivering a standout set at T in the Park.

The Slam Tent is also back to celebrate 16 successful years at T in the Park and for the very first time, will be open on the Friday with Sven Väth at the helm, joining Slam for extra-long sets from 5pm until midnight to bring the big club atmosphere to the Slam Tent. Other confirmed Slam acts on Saturday include Major Lazer, Skream featuring Sgt Pokes, Benga, Erol Alkan, Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Crookers with Dubfire, Joris Voom, Maya Jane Coles, Len Faki, Pan-Pot all taking to the stage on Sunday 8th and with many more still to be announced.
