Drake has regrettably announced that he will be unable to appear as headliner at Wireless Festival in both London and Birmingham this weekend. He passes the following message to his fans:
"To my beloved fans, it truly breaks my heart that I won't be able to perform as planned at Wireless and Roskilde this weekend. I got sick a few days ago and although I am on my way to bouncing back, my doctors have made it clear that I am not physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect and deserve from me. I will be focused on resting for a quick recovery. I have the best fans in the world and I can't wait to come back to make more incredible memories together."
Festival organisers, Live Nation have pulled out all the stops to make sure that fans still have an amazing time at what is now firmly established as the coolest, most must-be-seen-at party in the UK festival calendar.
They have confirmed that all 3 days of the highly anticipated Wireless Festival will go ahead as planned in both London and Birmingham, with the following changes.
On Saturday 5th July fans in London can look forward partying with 21 Grammy winning, multi talented rapper/producer and megastar Kanye West for a second night in a row.
Fans in Birmingham will be treated to an extended set from the platinum selling, multi award-winning Rudimental, BBC’s ‘Festival Band of The Summer’ 2013, who will now be joined by an array of very special guests (more on this to be announced asap).
Ticket holders attending the show on 4th July in Birmingham will also receive £20 of ‘Wireless Credit’ upon arrival at the site. This will be redeemable anywhere on site including food, beverages, merchandise and funfair.
Refunds will be available from point of purchase before the event but will not be available at the event. ‘Wireless Credit’ will only be valid on Friday 4th July in Birmingham and are subject to terms and conditions. Ticket holders who use their ticket and attend the show will not be entitled to a refund.
