The Henley Festival, in partnership with BMW, one of the summer’s most glamorous events will host a very special collaboration from legendary headliner Burt Bacharach, who will be joined by the critically acclaimed singer Eliza Doolittle on Friday 11th July. Appearing on the Floating Stage on the stunning banks of the River Thames, this exclusive performance is sure to light up another spectacular, not to be missed evening.
Experience the magic of the Henley Festival and spend the evening with the legendary Burt Bacharach as he takes you through his mighty back catalogue, which includes I'll Never Fall In Love Again, The Look Of Love, I Say A Little Prayer, Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head and Do You Know the Way to San Jose, plus many more. Performing with his accomplished orchestra and a selection of singers who will bring his songs to life, this world-renowned artist has his sights set on the Floating Stage.
Eliza Doolittle said: “Burt Bacharach is one of my favourite writers ever, if not my favourite! I’ve wanted to sing once of his songs since I first heard his music and to be able to do it with him in his show gives me a feeling I can’t even describe!”
The black tie evening will feature a special comedy appearance from Rock aficionado Rick Wakeman, whose one-man stand up show has been met with rave reviews. Diners will be spoilt for choice throughout the festival with many culinary options, including food from the award-winning chef Paul Clerehugh who brings renowned local restaurant The Crooked Billet to the festival for the very first time.
As well as this much-anticipated collaboration, each evening from 9th – 13th July will feature performances from the world’s finest headline acts on the Floating Stage. Opening the vibrant festival on Wednesday 9th Julywill be musical icon Bryan Ferry, followed by the incredible Joss Stone on Thursday 10th July. After Burt Bacharach on Friday, The Jacksons whose hits are adored by millions take to the stage on Saturday 12th July. Completing the magnificent line up are two very special co-headliners, the world class Rebecca Ferguson and chart-topping do-wop quintet The Overtones who appear on Sunday 13th July.
