Organisers have announced a pioneering new music lineup to join headliners The Cribs, Frightened Rabbit & Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip at LeeFest in South London this July.
The homegrown event has been named ‘Best Independent Festival’* & ‘Best Grass Roots Festival’** and is gaining a reputation for its musical discoveries, having previously hosted breakthrough acts such as Bastille, London Grammar and Clean Bandit.
New music additions announced today include Riot Jazz, We Were Evergreen, Benin City, Too Many T’s, Paul Thomas Saunders, DZ Deathrays, Tom Williams & The Boat, Amber Run, Juce and many more. These artists join Danish rising star MØ, as well as Rae Morris, Young Fathers, Years & Years, Childhood and much more.
Heading up the LeeFest dance offering are Maribou State, Krafty Kuts & Blonde. Today organisers have announced new additions to include Itchy & Scratchy DJ’s, Electric Empire, Jesse James, Howsons Groove, I Killed Kenny and many more.
The festival will play host to a wide variety of artistic collectives working in collaboration with the festival for entertainment beyond the music. Collaborations range from comedy, theatre, poetry and illustration to installation art, ping-pong, and arts and crafts. Party collective Wonderland return to host the Wondersands Beach, including paint fight, glitter wrestling and the only UK festival to host a Disco Dodgeball tournament!
