Based in the idyllic countryside setting at Cattows, a picturesque 300 acre farm, the festival will take place on August 10th-12th. Following two hugely successful events in 2010 and 2011, the team behind Strawberry Fields Festival 2012 insist that next year’s festival will be bigger and better still.
Strawberry Fields Festival 2012!
Having welcomed the likes of Kelis, Example, Beardyman, Rizzle Kicks, Mystery Jets, Kissy Sell Out, Jaguar Skills and many more in the last two years, Strawberry Fields Festival boasts a diverse and unique mix of established and emerging acts across a wide range of genres, and is now for the first time offering two lucky Live and Unsigned acts the opportunity to play on the Strawberry Jam Stage at next year’s festival.
Mike Beck, event manager at Strawberry Fields Festival, said; "We're delighted to be a festival partner with Live & Unsigned this year. We're passionate about offering unsigned and emerging artists a platform to showcase their talent to a wider audience and we look forward to finding two brilliant acts from this year’s competition to play at Strawberry Fields Festival 2012."

Live & Unsigned is the biggest unsigned music competition for original unsigned bands and artists in the UK. It offers the finalists the chance to play at The O2 in London alongside some of the UK's best musicians at Live Fest, London’s biggest indoor festival. There’s also £100,000 worth of prizes to be won, including an additional new main cash prize of £10,000 for the winning act to spend on development.
Auditions will begin in January 2012 and all acts in the competition are auditioned live. Acts that make it through the audition stage will get to perform to industry judges, A & R associates and celebrity guests. Judging last year’s competition and hopefully set to join the panel again in 2012 include Radio 1 DJ’s Annie Nightingale, Ras Kwame, Tom Deacon and Daniel P Carter, Kerrang’s Alex Baker and Happy Mondays star Bez.
