Produced in collaboration with Glenn Max, a creative whose other work has included Meltdown and Ether festivals, The White Rabbit lounge is yet another special addition to The Big Chill in 2011.
70’s punk original, Robyn Hitchcock and Joe Boyd, the man responsible for London’s original psychedelic ballroom, UFO, present their project White Bicycles. Based on Boyd’s book about music-making in the 60’s Boyd provides the stories whilst Hitchock sings the songs, an unmissable chance to hear about pop music’s rich history.
Connan Mockasin, the New Zealander receiving evered attention recently due to the Erol Alkan remixes also takes to the White Rabbit Lounge stage with blues-tinged psychedelic sounds. Add to this offering Glenn Max’s own band, Last Man Standing, Mixmaster Morris and many more artists and you have three days of the weirdest and most wonderful performances that can be found at The Big Chill this year.
