The four day event, as in 2010, will attract more than 110,000 festival attendees and 2500 conference delegates from over 60 countries.

After selling out for four years in succession, the ADE is considered to be one of the highlights of the annual international dance and electronic music calendar. Thanks to the fact of being both a major festival of electronic music as well as an important business platform for the international music industry, the event is also widely considered to be a significant indicator of the health of the electronic music scene.

Each year 2,500 artists, A&R managers, journalists, label representatives, booking agents and music publishers from around the world travel to Amsterdam to do business, network, discover new talent and keep up to date on the latest technological and legislative developments. The 100,000+ festival visitors, which includes 20,000 tourists, are attracted by a wide range of shows and events featuring the very best national and international artists. The recent 15th anniversary staged 165 events taking place at a record 44 different venues. In total over 700 DJs and acts performed.

The success of the event has meant that ADE also now plays an important role in perceptions of the city of Amsterdam, contributing significantly to the international positioning of the city in the global music scene. Alongside its cultural value, the event also attracts an important number of tourists, and provides an economic spin-off of over 18 million euros.

In the past fifteen years, the ADE has grown into a renowned festival that attracts a broad international audience.
