Flow Festival reached a record-breaking audience in 2010, attracting altogether 50,000 visitors over three festival days plus the opening concert.
As in 2009, Flow Festival will compensate its carbon dioxide emissions according to the plan drafted in co-operation with the consulting agency Pöyry. The total carbon emissions of Flow in 2010 were 162 tonnes, which is some 20% (24 tonnes) higher than in 2009. Roughly 87% of the emissions were caused by the artists’ travel. According to Pöyry, Flow succeeded well in reducing the consumption of elecricity at the festival, and also in encouraging environmentally friendly ways for the audience to arrive at the site.
Flow will release a limited supply of three-day tickets for the 2011 event for sale for the price of 2010 during December. The Christmas tickets will go on sale at Tiketti on December 1 2010.
