2020 headliners re-sign for 2021, withtonsof new additions for the newly expanded two day event across Easter weekend in April

Having made its name by producing Scotland’s most impressive one day festival, Terminal V now go one step further and announce that, for the first time in its history, they will host two genre-busting days of musical programming. All of the confirmed acts for the postponed 2020 event such as Charlotte De Witte, Eats Everything, Floorplan, Honey Dijon, Shanti Celeste, Octo Octa, Ben UFO and Avalon Emerson as well assoe new additions such as Sven Vath, Alan Fitzpatrick, Perc, Dax J, Ben Sims, Haai, Green Velvet, Monika Kruse,  and more will all play across five expertly produced stages on Saturday, April 3rd and Sunday, April 4that the now legendary home of The Royal Highland Centre grounds in Edinburgh

Terminal V 2021 will now offer double the action, double the acts and of course double the good times. Previous headline bookings have been maintained and honoured by the hoard of top-level artists that are a major part of the Terminal V family. That means that the full spectrum of electronica is more than catered for each day.

Who better to start with than with Saturday session headliner Plastikman Richie Hawtin, the Canadians’ uncompromising and forward thinking style will dovetail perfectly with the harder edged artists featuring that day such as big hitters Alan Fitzpatrick, I Hate Models, Helena Hauff, Dax J, Nina Kraviz, Luigi Madonna, and Belgian main room mistress Charlotte De Witte

As well as this sizzling array of headliners there will also be a raft of support acts that can more than hold their own with the A-listers. Featuring on Saturday’s growing techno bill will be Perc,  Shdw & Obscure Shape, T78, and of course regular heavy hitters Frazi.er and Stephen Brown.

Terminal V is techno through and through but they also know a thing or two about what it takes to fire up a dance floor and on Saturday you can also find a truly diverse range of artists from across the musical spectrum. We welcome back Hessle Audio main man Ben UFO as well as Avalon Emerson, old friend and bad man selector Eats Everything, gospel house father and daughter duo Floorplan, Haai, Honey Dijon, Kornel Kovacs, Classic Music Company don Luke Solomun, Detroit digger Mike Servito, Milo Spykers, Octo Octa, Peach Discs boss Shanti Celeste, and Ejeca completes phase 2 of the first day’s event.

Moving on to day 2 and Sunday will feature a legion of techno titans and top of that bill is Cocoon boss and all round legend Sven Vath. The Frankfurt character will be joined by close friends and main room mainstays Ben Sims, Kink (live), Perc, Green Velvet, Regal, Rebuke and Serbian leading lady Tijana T. Aiding and abetting on the tougher stages will be Parisian artist Airod and Carlota.

As well as presenting the many shades of techno day 2 at Terminal V 2021 will also be home to all manner of selector specialists including Chicago lynchpin Derrick Carter, Moxie, Eli Brown, Hammer, Prok | Fitch, and Solardo.

As an added bonus, there are also some double weekend appearances for a handful of acts, playing both the Saturday and Sunday,  including Terminal V favourite, Hamburg’s Helena Hauff alongsideweekend appearances from Scotland’s very own Stephen Brown and Frazi.er + more TBA.

The artist announcements most definitely do not stop there, with another 25 names to be announced to this sprawling event later this year.  Just make sure that you do not sleep on the tickets for this monstrous event as they will not hang around for long.

Electronic Labor Day and Beatport ReConnect present ‘For Beirut’

Electronic Labor Day and Beatport ReConnect present ‘For Beirut’

ELD, Beatport and the international electronic music community join forces to raise funds to rebuild Beirut

Headliners include Andhim, Amelie Lens, Blond:ish, Carl Cox, Danny Howard, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick May, Kölsch, Luciano, Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Skream, Umek and many many more…

On September 13, 40 days of mourning, after the tragic and horrific blast that shook the Lebanese capital, Beirut,Electronic Labor Day (ELD), Beatport ReConnect, together with the international electronic music community, will join forces through the ‘For Beirut’ initiative. As international DJs from around the world spared no time in getting in touch with their friends and partners in Beirut, delivering messages of solidarity and support.

‘For Beirut’ is an initiative geared towards raising funds to support Lebanon and its people, after the fourth biggest explosion in history shook Beirut on August 4, 2020. Alongside the material damage estimated at over USD 15 billion, the livelihood of thousands of individuals and families has been diminished. Thousands have been left without homes, as parts of the city have been erased.

The electronic music fundraiser will begin at 01:58PM EEST (Beirut time) on Sunday, with a moment of silence, marking the timing of the blast, after 40 days of mourning. The minute of silence is in honor of nearly 200 victims who have lost their lives, others still buried under rubble, and all those who have been injured by the blast. The DJ sets will ensue at 2PM EEST (Beirut time) ending at 2AM EEST.

Around 100 international artists will play their sets as the stream will be broadcast across multiple rooms. Headliners include Andhim, Amelie Lens, Blond:ish, Carl Cox, Danny Howard, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick May, Kölsch, Luciano, Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Skream, Umek and many many more…

Funds will be distributed to three initiatives that have been leading the relief efforts:

  • Beirut Emergency Fund: a coalition of Lebanese diaspora organisations, LebNet, LIFE, SEAL, Jamhour Alumni (US/Europe) and Kuwait-America Foundation, are focusing on supporting non-profit, non-governmental organisations that are working to meet the humanitarian needs among vulnerable populations impacted by the explosion in Lebanon. These include shelter, food, medical supplies, physical and mental health, as well as mitigating any environmental damage.
  • Impact Lebanon who are raising funds for ongoing relief efforts through their Disaster Relief for Beirut Explosion initiative with a rigorous NGO vetting process. The most important selection criteria for the NGOs is that they are apolitical and non-sectarian, are registered and recognised, have ongoing initiatives to address the crisis and have passed an audit test.
  • Bebw’shebbek now dedicated to rebuilding the doors and windows of homes that have been impacted by the explosion through a volunteering team of experts. They have already undertaken 500 homes, with a goal to fix 150 homes every month and the ultimate objective to repair 3,000 homes.

This is the second edition of Electronic Labor Day (ELD), the first taking place in May 2020, to support the nightlife non-managerial personnel who have been deeply impacted by the repercussions of COVID-19.

Beatport’s ReConnect series has been running since March and has raised over $350,000 for charities, and amassed more than 35,000,000 views.

Plot is the One Stop Festival Website Solution Changing the Game

www.builtwithplot.com

https://www.facebook.com/projectsimply

Plot is designed to cater for all stages of a festival lifecycle and is constantly evolving, with new features always being added to improve the user experience. Plot sites can be adapted, changed and updated according to a festival team’s bespoke needs – from sign up forms to banner ads, line-up release info to filterable artist pages, all on a quick to launch and load website that looks beautiful and engages users. Importantly, a Plot festival website is full of features, meaning customers can completely remove any ongoing costs for third party design and development once the website is launched.

Says Plot co-founder Christian Hill, “Plot allows festivals of all sizes and budgets to create a festival website that looks amazing, engages its audience, has all the features a festival marketing team needs, and will be delivered within a week. We are able to do this by removing the bespoke design process, whilst still delivering something unique, powerful and affordable.”

Over the last decade, Project Simply has worked with some of the most prestigious clients in the world such as Parklife, BPM, Sundown, Field Day and Love Supreme, but now also want to use all their skills and knowledge, via Plot, to help smaller festivals with less experienced teams, on tighter budgets. The team at Project Simply have essentially bottled all of their combined knowledge of what makes a great music festival website, removed the bespoke design process, but still created something flexible, unique and powerful.

Plot adheres to some key principles including the ability to create, modify, expand and grow the pages on the site in the lead up to the event as more information is released, and then scale it back once it is over.  As artists and performances are at the heart of every event, Plot has created various custom tools and an intelligent, easy to modify system for managing and presenting performance and lineup information, filterable artist pages, auto-generated smart schedule calendars, What’s On listings and poster-style text lineup generators.

Launching an event is a stressful time, and making a system that gives all control to the admin teams with an instant site launcher – rather than having to speak to developers or hosting companies – is also a hugely important time and stress saving factor that stands Plot apart. Plot websites are also incredibly fast to load, even during launch phases. Plot has also created a fully branded, fully customisable and powerful, hassle-free form system for contact, email sign-up, pre-registration, volunteer applications and much more. Add in a smooth scroll system, a completely custom notification system with powerful banner messages and popups, the familiarity and comfort of WordPress and a simplified go-live process thanks a custom built system that can handle DNS and SSL settings within the admin area, and you have a superbly streamlined but feature packed and efficient site that is as easy to use as it it is engaging for both festival teams and customers alike.

Plot has everything it takes to become the most highly considered and best rated festival website solution for music festivals anywhere in the world.

Caprices Festival Announces Line-up for new September dates with Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Mathew Jonson (live), Sonja Moonear and more

Artists will play 2200m above sea level offering panoramic views of the crystalline skies and snow-capped mountain ranges.

The 17th edition of Caprices Festival might have had to move from its original April date, but it makes a much anticipated return to the stunning resort of Crans-Montana in Switzerland across two specially curated weekends. With a reduced capacity and different look thanks to the warmer end of the summer weather and beautiful green hillsides, this will be special and unique one-off editions from September 18 – 20 and 25 – 27 September, with returning favourites and hot new headliners from the original line-up all playing including Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Mathew Jonson (live), Sonja Moonear, Behrouz, Damian Lazarus, Guy Gerber, Archie Hamilton, Dorian Paic, Traumer, Steve Rachmad, Agents of Time, Dubfire and many more.

With joint effort between the artists, the partners and the festival team, in current complex circumstances, an unprecedented edition of the festival will be able to see the light of the day and offer a privileged few an unforgettable experience. In order to keep party goers safe during the Covid-19 era, capacity was reduced to 1000 people per stage, with each one then split into independent zones of max 300 people as advised by the government measures.

Instead of initially planned four stages, there will be two stages per day – the famous daytime ‘Modernity Stage’ and one new nighttime stage, ‘The Forest Stage’ – but the famously high production values and world class sound systems that have made Caprices Festival such an iconic underground event will remain. The Forest Stage is a circular building, offering a 360-degree view, with indoor and outdoor spaces, located in the middle of the forest, in the old intermediate station of Signal cable car line and has never been before by the Caprices Festival. The stage will host a combination of international artists, “new comers” and the Swiss local acts, offering the public a musical context at the forefront of the latest artistic trends in the field.

The world renowned Modernity Stage, of course, is a one-off, greenhouse-like structure that sits 2200m above sea level offering panoramic views of the crystalline skies and snow-capped mountain ranges.

Across all three days of weekend one, the Modernity Stage will be headlined by the likes of Damian Lazarus, Dubfire, Behrouz, Yokoo, Parallells, Audiofly, Guy Gerber, Guti live, Mina, Tia, 3rd Floor Brothers and DJ Reas, while The Forest Stage welcomes Ion Ludwig live, Digby, Seko & Persci, Madnax live, Mira & Chris Scwarzwalder, Manolo, Adolpho & Franky, Argenis Brito and Dandy Jack.

Weekend two sees Modernity headlined by Marco Farone, Agents of Time, Adriatique, Alci, Sonja Moonear, Ricardo Villalobos b2b Edward, Dana Ruh, Skizzo, Given (aka James Mc Hale b2b Giorgio Maulini), Dorian Paic and Sven Vath. The Forest Stage will then bounce to the sounds of Nicolas Duvoisin, Traumer, Archie Hamilton, Andrea Fiorito, Mathew Jonson live, Steve Rachmad, MHMD, Bruk Boogie Kru and Michel Cleis.

Next to the world class music there is plenty to make this an experience of a lifetime: high end restaurants and eateries that include award-winning restaurants and mountain huts, boutique shops and an eco-museum as well as a wellness centre and endless mountains to explore.

Caprices Festival 2020 will look very different to usual, but the forward thinking soundtrack, next level production and welcoming atmospheres are sure to make it a truly one of a kind event.

Tickets for the April edition remain valid for the September edition. However, refund options are possible within a limited time frame (19 August). For clients who cannot make it to the festival on these dates but wish to help support Caprices Festival in this extremely difficult time for the music and events industry, a donation system is also in place. All the details related to the ticketing are available on the social media platforms of Caprices Festival & ticketing Partner xtixs.

Terminal V launch ‘Connect’ with Patrick Topping

Terminal V launch ‘Connect’

A new multi-platform live streaming channel bringing Live + Virtual incredible experiences of Iconic Locations

Patrick Topping kicks things off live from the top of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site Calton Hill in Edinburgh

Check out the preview here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbGmgVqoIes

TERMINAL V CONNECT is a multi-platform streaming channel from gargantuan Scottish festival Terminal V that incorporates incredible Live, Virtual and Augmented reality streams from the world’s leading electronic music artists.

The much anticipated launch online event comes from firm Terminal V favourite Patrick Topping, who has a long standing relationship with the city, and the party. His set from the top of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site Calton Hill overlooking the city, which is one of Edinburgh’s most visited tourist attractions, with the city’s stunning skyline in the backdrop as well as views looking on to Edinburgh Castle, Forth Road Bridge, The Scottish Parliament Building and much more, will be broadcast on Saturday August 8th at 8pm – the same day he was due to make his Scottish Trick debut for a huge 5000 capacity Terminal V all-nighter event that has now been rescheduled to the end of the year.

Terminal V’s exciting new concept TERMINAL V CONNECT is a mixture of cutting edge, exciting platforms, ranging from stunning locations, home streams, XR augmented reality streams pushing new high-end XR technology and next level production featuring the very best international acts brought to audiences in a virtual and vital way. It is the sort of high class, high impact offering that Terminal V have become known for in recent years since their inception in 2017, with their huge festivals and raves always selling out a setting a new standard for electronic music events in Scotland. This launch also follows numerous hugely popular Terminal V Lockdown streams with the likes of Maceo Plex, Kink, Luigi Madonna and Rebuke who have all kept people dancing in the safety of their own homes whilst raising funds for charity.

The first TERMINAL V CONNECT event is a special one with global tastemaker Topping headlining from the iconic Calton Hill, Edinburgh. Calton Hill is the location of several iconic monuments and buildings such as the National Monument, the Nelson Monument and the Robert Burns Monument as well as the City Observatory. It towers over the city and is a truly famous location. From there, Topping played a typically tight and on point set with the stunning city backdrop and gorgeous sunset behind him through to darkness with lasers and projections filing the sky over the city. It all unfolded in blazing heat and the full two hours will be broadcast to the world via Beatport, Terminal V and Patrick Toppings social channels on Saturday August 8th.

Patrick went to Uni in Edinburgh so has lots of history with the city and Terminal V events. He had a capacity full stage at Terminal V festival Easter 2019 and later this year arrives in Edinburgh for his special Trick all-nighter. It was originally scheduled in August this year before the pandemic hit but has now moved to Dec 19th and is set to be a spectacular affair with a giant line up that will keep you dancing from dusk till dawn with Floorplan, Mella Dee, Cynthia, Elliott Adamson, Ewan McVicar and Reinier Zonneveld.

In the meantime, this is a fantastic taster of what to expect when he makes his big return.
