This online experience has become a much loved getaway for culture lovers all over the world, with the likes of Mark Farina, La Fleur, Nora En Pure and Martin Garrix having played previous editions. Offering something different than traditional live streams, each one comes from a stunning location, with multiple-camera angles and high definition video really showcasing the unique beauty and cultural offerings of each site. This last stream of 2020 happens at around the same time as the iconic MDL BEAST festival would have been happening. That has been postponed until next year because of the pandemic, but these streams continue to bring people from all over the planet together to dance and explore new regions of the world from the safety of their own homes.

Italian Marco Faraone is known for his visceral live techno sets. From vital local resident to globe trotting DJ and regular at the likes of BPM Mexico, Panorama Bar and Watergate, he has also released his standout sounds on the scene’s finest labels including his own essential Uncage Music. He will bring a varied techno masterclass with real knowledge and skill from an abandoned hotel in Ibiza, with all its stunning natural beauty, pine tree-lined hills, green-blue sea and long sand beaches.

Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard are Sultan and Shepherd. Soon after meeting they signed to John Digweed’s Bedrock label, Deep Dish’s infamous Yoshitoshi Recordings and Global Under and have gone on to collaborations with revered EDM artists such as Dillon Francis, Tiesto, and Kaskade, have remixed Coldplay and Ed Sheeran, and in normal times tour across the globe with stops at Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, and a residency at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Their remix of Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven” earned them a Grammy nomination and here they play from the the iconic Hollywood Hills on the southern slopes of the Santa Monica Mountains in Los Angeles, with the famous sign overlooking the city of dreams below it, complete with tall palms trees and gorgeous sunsets.

DJ and pop duo Rebecca & Fiona have been a key part of the Swedish and international scene for more than a decade. They have won two Swedish Grammy’s for their albums, have headlined with stars like Tiesto and had their own residency in Las Vegas at the famous Wynn Hotel. Combining big drums, warm bass and their sensitive vocals, the pair are true innovators in their field.  They play live and direct from Värmdö in the middle of Stockholm Archipelago. The municipality is made up entirely of islands and boasts gorgeous coastal towns, rugged seas, lush green forest landscapes, historic sites and amazing architecture.

Grammy Award winner David Morales is true house royalty. The man behind the seminal ‘Needin U’ has continued to serve up essential house hits, from dark and tech edge to soulful and vocal, for many decades. A headliner at the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals, he has remixed over 500 records and topped global charts. He plays from Mykonos, a paradise-like island in the Aegean Sea with pastel coloured villas, known for its summer party atmosphere, world famous beaches and landmarks such as the row of 16th-century windmills which sit on a hill above the town.

Also playing will be Dubai legend Omar Fayyad, co-founder of the Unfold party series and Analog Room resident, he has plenty of pedigree having shared the decks with the likes of Petre Inspirescu, Priku, East End Dubs, Mike Shannon, Dewalta, And Binh, to name a few.

Label head Adam Beyer plus Anna, Bart Skils, Ben Klock, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joel Mull and Layton Giordani will all play this sure to be an electric party after such a long break from action due to the pandmeic.

This brand new All Nighter series, which runs in addition to the bi-annuall festival, is about offering up a complete picture of leading underground artists and their influential labels. They offer a chance to hear world class DJs go deep into their own specific sounds, on their own terms. UNUM FESTIVAL RETURNS FOR 2021 AS ALBANIAN GOVERNMENT APPROVES USE OF RAPID TESTING

June 3rd – 7th 2021

Shengjin, Albania

Website http://www.unumfestival.com/

Facebook https://www.facebook.com/unumfestival/

Instagram https://www.instagram.com/unumfestival/

@UNUMFestival

Unum Festival is to return to the gorgeous beaches and pine forests of Shenghin on the Albanian Riviera from June 3rd to 7th 2021. After careful discussions with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, and the Ministry of Health, all necessary measures will be undertaken to ensure that rapid tests will be offered at the open air festival venue so that you can enjoy world class music in a stunning, sun kissed setting next summer. This makes Albania the first country in the world to approve of testing for social and cultural events.

The advancing technology and accuracy of rapid tests currently allows for results within 10-15 minutes, which is all that would be required to ensure you can enjoy the festival in the way it should be enjoyed. On top of that, vaccines will likely have arrived early next year so that plans for this small, perfectly formed festival are now well underway, all with the support and backing of the Albanian government.

In 2019, the close-knit UNUM was a brand new festival that made an immediate mark in its first year because it was a friendly coming together of real music lovers in an amazing region of the world. It played out on the beautiful, organic and natural Albanian Riviera with a world class line-up of house, minimal and techno DJs such as Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Butch, Margaret Dygas, Petre Inspirescu, Praslea, Sonja Moonear, Zip and more. Expect more of these cult underground selectors when the full line up is announced soon.

The festival really shined a spotlight on Rana e Hedhun, the last untapped corner of Europe in the town of Shengjin, on the idyllic Albanian coastline. Music played, and will play again, across day and night, with blissful sunrise and sunset parties, water sports, plenty of local culture, food and drink offerings and a music loving crowd from all corners of the world. Beyond the music there is lots to explore in this natural paradise, from  isolated bays and gold sand beaches to the Albanian Alps.

Until next June, take care of yourself, family, and friends and save your energy for what will be some seriously good vibes for Unum 2021.

Noisily Festival to return in 2021!

8-11th July 2021

By hook or by crook Noisily made it through 2020, and that is in no small part down to the incredible family that we have built over the years, who supported the event in it’s darker days.

So, to the future! Noisily is back on track and we are moving full steam ahead with a few cheeky changes. So, before we embark on another 8 months of creative content to get your juices flowing, a little bit of housekeeping…

The Virus that shall Not be Named

Obviously we couldn’t jump back in the saddle without addressing the elephant in the room.

Thanks to the fundraiser and subsequent government grant, Noisily’s future is secure even if 2021 is also unable to happen. In this situation we guarantee that all ticket buyers will get a refund if they would like it, minus the booking fee.

However, our view – which is one shared by many of the events industry and is being pushed forward by vast investment by airlines & governments – is that by the summer rapid testing will have gotten to a point where we will be able to go ahead safely. We are deep in planning for this scenario, as well as the many other scenarios that could unfold.

We are well aware of the uncertainty the future holds. However the CRF grant has offered a life line, we have been given the opportunity to comprehensively plan for Noisily 2021 without any risk to your ticket money, the money raised by you in the save noisily campaign or the event as a whole, and we are grabbing this golden opportunity by the horns. We will do everything in our power to put on Noisily 2021, but NEVER at the risk of you or anyone’s wellbeing.

We are overwhelmed with excitement at the prospect of breaching Coney Woods with you lot next July. Dear Lord, can you imagine the vibe! INSANE!

The Music

Each year when we weave the line up together, there are a small number of more sought after artists on it who are based abroad. The musical programming at Noisily has long been about the complete soundtrack of the weekend, not the individual artist, and we love to welcome performers who are as much at the festival to party as to play – they always just get the vibe and never fail to perform – unlike some of the bigger names.

However, balancing these performers has always been a hard call to make as our “Headliners” create the most hype in the build up to the event. This year, though, given the new world we live in, we have made the decision to take the plunge and balance the line up, celebrating more local artists from the Noisily Family who will blow the bloody doors off as well as anyone with a bigger price tag.

FEAR NOT! There will of course be a plethora of names you recognise, banging beats all weekend from up and comers and industry legends to boot, with some friends from further afield joining us too. We think that this change is going to create an even more electric vibe on the dance floor and couldn’t be more excited about stepping into a new era of Noisily!

Of which brings us to, drum roll please….

The Noisily Stage 2021 Line Up Announcement

CLUBBING TV ANNOUNCES CLUBBING.LIVE, A NEW, INTERACTIVE LIVE STREAMING PLATFORM

Over the last 10 years, Clubbing TV has successfully produced and broadcast more than 1500 hours of live streams from all around the globe. From studios, clubs, roof tops and crazy boat parties to some of the biggest festivals in the world, Clubbing TV has hosted impeccable live broadcasts to over 50 different countries where their TV channel is broadcasted. With the lockdowns, the live scene has been forced to rest, but live DJ streams have flourished all over the web on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitch, Youtube and Instagram — all of which have prompted a new wave of online creativity.

Unfortunately, the new content ID policy of these platforms restrains DJs, meaning they often perform DJ sets for their followers but get cut off if they don’t own the music right of the tracks they play. This is a further muting of the voices of artists who are not still not allowed to play in a club, a bar or a festival for sanitary reasons – and now – even online due to copyright restrictions.

These new measures have inspired Clubbing TV to create their own legal and licensed live streaming platform: Clubbing.live.

Clubbing.live is a minimalist live-streaming platform conceived by the team at Clubbing TV for both music lovers and live streamers. Free, easy to use and interactive, Clubbing.live lets dance music fans watch various DJ sets, live performances, talk-shows and 3D virtual experiences every day! The Clubbing.live interactive chat allows users from all over the globe to talk to each other’s during all the live shows or even send audios and animated gifs, re-creating a real participative experience.

Clubbing TV is broadcast on traditional TV (so cable, satellite, DTT, IPTV) in 50 countries around the world and into 100 million households. This means that anyone who plays on Clubbing.live could be selected for broadcast on the main channel internationally and simultaneously. This is a truly unique offering that puts Clubbing.live head and shoulders above the competition in terms of artist exposure.

For the official launch of Clubbing.live, rendez-vous on November, 28th at 8pm CET to watch an exclusive set from Worakis² at Positiv Festival at the wonderful Roman Theater of Orange, France.

Worakls and the cellist Antonin Winter performed an epic live set in front of the Clubbing TV cameras and the show will be broadcasted on Clubbing TV and on Clubbing.live for the very first time. If you were not able to attend any festival in 2020, this show will make you feel like you were there.

Worakls, a French musician and producer, is mostly known for his classic tracks Porto, Salzburg andCloches. He will soon unveil two new big releases: Worakls feat Eivør – Red Dresses (Ben Böhmer Remix) out on Hungry Music on December 11th and Worakls & Rusanda – Storm out on Sonate on December 18th.

Clubbing.live is now open to media partners, clubs, festivals and will be opening soon to all artists willing to live stream on a dedicated music platform.

Media partners, clubs, festivals, promoters – if you want to stream smoothly with a high quality image and sound and no interruption? Please contact us at [email protected] for onboarding.

DJs, producers, performers – do you also want to stream smoothly with a high quality of image and sound and no interruption? Feel free to pre-register on www.clubbing.live

And for all music lovers, join us now on Clubbing.live and check our calendar to see what will be your next virtual party!

Worakis² at Positiv Festival (TEASER):

Spike management announces formation of new agency

https://spikemanagement.com

Irish artist managers David De Valera and Marcus O’Sullivan announce the formation of artist management and music consultancy agency Spike. The agency’s tailored model will empower artists to retain closer control and ownership of their music and works in the long term.

With a combined 30 years working in the music industry the pair will implement a distinctive new business model for artist management. Spike will be fully integrated with the award winning digital marketing agency Circulate also owned by the pair.

De Valera underlines that the new agency is a direct response to the disrupted landscape of the music industry right now. “The game has changed and artists now want (and deserve) much closer control of their music and how it’s released. With Spike we’re giving our artists the tools to maintain that control and to flourish. The time from music creation to music release is minimal, because we provide everything the artist needs in house. We see this as a unique approach to artist development. From digital strategy to web development and content creation, we’re removing the barriers so our artists can move faster”.

The move will allow their artists to benefit from a full service digital marketing agency as part of their management setup. Circulate has proved the agency of choice for discerning global brands like Circoloco, Universal Music and Sony in recent years as well artists Steve Angello, The Blessed Madonna and Jonas Blue.

Co-founder Marcus O’Sullivan says “For standard management companies around the world, digital strategy and everything that goes with it is a last minute tick the box exercise. This is a dated approach and shows a lack of understanding of both the artist’s mindset and priorities in 2020. Aside from the conventional management services, this means brand development, digital strategy, social media management and advertising all provided by our fourteen strong team.

In the long term Spike hopes to “help our artists understand the music industry and to navigate their careers successfully”. With a decade of management experience across multiple music genres under their belt, directors De Valera and O’Sullivan have underlined their commitment to helping their artists capture the imagination of their audiences around the world. Alongside this the agency will also utilise long term partnerships in gaming, television, film and consumer goods to the benefit of their multi genre roster.

The new agency will be based between their original base in Dublin and their recently established office in Amsterdam/London with a full roster announcement to come in January 2020.

Swallow Events Announces Partnership With Roche And Launches Industry First Covid-19 (15 Minute) Rapid Testing Facility Service & Covid-19 Event Compliance Consultancy Service

Covid-19 Rapid Event Testing Service & Covid Compliance Consultancy   Swallow Events is the first company to offer a full rapid testing screening service facility to detect COVID-19 to event organisers throughout the UK and the rest of the world. We decided to partner exclusively with Roche and we are able to offer MHRA and CE approved rapid 15 minute (99.68% specificity) turn-around pop-up testing facilities conducted by government approved healthcare professionals on any size and scale, therefore enabling large scale gatherings to be held in a Covid secure environment. As an alternative, we offer a supply only option and we ship worldwide.
We also offer a full-consultancy service, covering critical information and advice enabling events in all sectors to open safely and compliantly. Our consultancy service is in line with UK government guidelines Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and also in conjunction with any local authority restrictions and necessary health and safety precautions.
Oli Thomas – Founder and Managing Director of Swallow Events said:   “The events industry has been forgotten and devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic.    Although a common misconception, events have actually been allowed to take place in the UK in 2020. The guidelines regarding them, however, are unclear, with the ultimate decision often based on a single person’s opinion at local authority level.
There are instances of events receiving approval and licences granted, only for them then to be revoked at the last minute, which only serves to further fuel financial problems and job losses to the industry.   With this in mind we are very proud to announce we are the first events company in the UK to offer an on-site rapid testing service for Covid-19 in as little as 15 minutes, which, we believe, is a complete game changer.    Our rapid testing kits – a market leader (which meets MHRA target product profile with sensitivity: 96,52% & specificity: 99,68%) used in conjunction with track and trace data-collection and other Covid secure protocols such as touch point and temperature checks will help event organisers in all sectors from large scale festivals, concerts, stadia, business conferences and trade shows through to agricultural shows and small boutique festivals. It will kick start a £39.1 billion contributing sector to the UK’s economy whilst helping to protect over 570,000 full-time jobs which are rapidly disappearing   Our mission is to support and lobby for events of all nature, working in close conjunction with local authorities and ultimately enabling organisers to open in a safe, responsible and Covid secure environment”                                               More information at: www.swallowevents.com/covid19-testing-and-compliance

Swallow Events Expansion & Three New Business Divisions   The UK based business, already a market leader in event catering management and operations, is to expand into full event logistics and operations, brand sponsorships & partnerships, as well as a highly specialised digital marketing consulting. Through three new Director appointments, the company now has a prestigious client portfolio, upon which three new business divisions have been founded to add to the existing, highly successful catering management operation.    One of the UK’s leading event catering management and operations companies, Swallow Events, has announced the expansion of its current senior team and offering, by joining forces with three leading players in their respective fields to create three new business divisions within the existing company structure. Founder and Managing Director Oli Thomas will be joined by Natalie Vincini (Brand Activations & Partnerships), Grego O’Halloran (Logistics & Operations) and Stuart Broadhurst (Digital Marketing Solutions) in a statement of intent for the rapidly growing event and festival specialist.    Natalie has 16 years at the forefront of brand and experiential marketing and has worked with brands such as Google, Uber, Snapchat, Makers Mark, You Tube, Go Pro, Peugeot, Virgin, Glenfiddich, Nokia and Sony. She co-founded and ran the phenomenally successful Winterwell Festival series.
Grego has spent nearly 20 years on the front lines of the electronic music sector, involved in everything from event management and promotions, through to ticketing and media/communications, for brands and companies such as Creamfields / Cream, Circoloco, DC10, Unum Festival, Amnesia, Resistance Ibiza, Ultra Music Festival, Sonar, Defected, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Ibiza Spotlight, Ibiza Voice, Ushuaia/Hi and Live Nation
Stuart hasn’t just spent 20 years in Digital Advertising – he has been part of the evolution of the industry and helped shape things that are now ‘the norm’ today. He has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Microsoft, Virgin,Air BnB, Jaguar, Land Rover, Air New Zealand, Burberry, and most recently was Activation Director for Dentsu Sydney, running a £60 million spend across all digital channels.

These projects are focussed on creating a sustainable future for children, young people and their families and will be delivering food and water, education, safety and trauma rehabilitation.

So far, more than 700 DJs from over 50 countries have registered to play their own Set For Love during the weekend and will be participating in what is potentially the world’s largest simultaneous livestream event.  DJs of all abilities are invited to get involved and can register to play their Set For Love at www.setforlove.org. Donations can also be made through that link.

Participants are reaching out to their followers, friends and families to ask for donations, helping LNADJ demonstrate that the power of music really can make a difference to the lives of those who need it the most.

This will be the third Set For Love event organised by LNADJ and organisers are hoping it will be the biggest one yet. The previous two held earlier in the year raised over £80,000.  These funds, raised for the charity’s Covid-19 Relief Appeal, provided food, water and medical supplies to vulnerable communities in developing countries.

About Freqways
Freqways is MDLBEAST’s online music experience which launched in June 2020 as a response to the global lockdown. Inspired by airlines of the past, Freqways takes audiences on a virtual trip, with DJs performing from iconic locations around the world. It was created as a way to showcase destinations through music, art and culture.
