Magic Summer Live add Chic ft Nile Rodgers and more!

Magic 105.4 and Live Nation are thrilled to announce that more fantastic acts have been confirmed to join Bryan Adams and Jamiroquai at Magic Summer Live 2013, taking place in Guildford’s Stoke Park on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July. Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Beverley Knight and Ocean Colour Scene have been added to the bill on Saturday 13 July and a further eight outstanding artists have been confirmed to perform across the weekend. On Saturday 13 July, joining headliner Jamiroquai (on what will be his only UK performance this year) and soul sensation Joss Stone, will be multi-million selling American disco stars Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, famed for tracks including ‘Le Freak’ and ‘I Want Your love’. Nile Rodgers extensive career has seen him collaborat with the likes of Madonna, David Bowie and more recently Daft Punk. Multi-award winning Beverley Knight and Britpop band Ocean Colour Scene will also be perfoming at the festival. Confirmed for the More Music Stage are ‘Critizize’ singer Alexander O'Neil, British Reggae band Aswad, RnB trio Loose Ends, and Gwen Dickey's Rose Royce.

On Sunday 14 July The Real Thing will be bringing their hits, including ‘You to Me Are Everything’, to the More Music Stage alongside Disco sensation Heatwave and UK soul singers Jaki Graham and Omar. These artists will be joinging already announced headliner Bryan Adams, James Morrison, Squeeze, Level 42, The Overtones and Kim Wilde.

Offering local talent the chance to play alongside these fantastic artists, Andertons, The Boileroom and ACM (The Academy Of Contemporary Music) have recently announced a dedicated local stage ‘Surrey Sessions Stage’ . It will feature up and coming local musicians from Guildford with an open competition for artists to compete for a coveted spot for both days, entrants can apply via a video submission to a shared Youtube channel. The successful artists will then be hand-picked via live performance heats which will take place throughout May and June at The Boileroom.

Bryan Adams & Jamiroquai to headline Magic Summer Live!

In what will be their only UK performance this year, Jamiroquai will be taking to the stage on Saturday 13 July and Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams will be performing at the festival on Sunday 14 July. Joining this stellar line up will be James Morrison, Joss Stone, Squeeze, Level 42, Soul II Soul, The Overtones and Kim Wilde.Tickets are on sale Friday 15 March at 8am, available at www.magicsummerlive.co.uk

Bryan Adams, Sunday’s headliner, has sold over 65 million records, toured over six continents and has achieved no.1 status in over 40 countries around the world. Adams’ song writing talent has scaled generations, with hits including “Summer Of ‘69”, “Heaven”, “Please Forgive Me”, and “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You”, which spent 16 weeks at the top of the UK single charts.

Having sold more than 25 million albums worldwide Jamiroquai are one of the UK’s biggest musical exports. The band will take to the Magic Summer Live stage for their only UK performance this year on Saturday 13 July. What marks the 20^th anniversary of Emergency On Planet Earth, Jamiroquai will bring their special blend of pop, rock and funky soul to Stoke Park for what is bound to be a very memorable performance. With a career lasting 20 years, Jamiroquai will be taking to the main stage and performing hits including “Virtual Insanity”, “Cosmic Girl”, “Love Foolosophy” and “Canned Heat”.

British soul sensation Joss Stone and “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)” hit makers and two time Grammy award winning Soul II Soul have both been confirmed to perform at the festival on Saturday 13 July. Joining the line-up on Sunday 14 July will be BRIT Award winning singer/songwriter James Morrison, British new wave pop music icons Squeeze, rock & jazz-funk stars Level 42 and the UK’s hottest vocal harmony group The Overtones. Magic 105.4 presenter Kim Wilde will also be joining the Sunday line up and will be performing hits including “Kids in America” and “You Keep Me Hanging On”. Many more artists to be announced soon.

What is already sure to be a highlight of the summer for all the family, Magic Summer Live will host a spectacular array of activities and entertainment on site at Guildford’s Stoke Park. In addition to the Main Stage, the ‘West End’ Stage will showcase performances from some of the best-loved musicals and shows, with details to be announced soon. Organisers are keen to ensure that local businesses and talent alike are well served by the event and the festival will showcase some of the best local talent Guildford has to offer. Wonderland complete the lineup for this years Magic Summer Live

he highly anticipated Magic Summer Live in association with BT, today completes its spectacular line up with the female five-piece Wonderland. The band whose wide ranging harmonies and soulful pop hooks make them the perfect choice to join headliner Elton John on July 17^th at Hatfield House, playing his only London date this summer. Magic Summer Live will also feature the BRIT Award nominee Rumer, American duo The Pierces, the multi million selling Lighthouse Family and stylish male quintet The Overtones. Wonderland join the Magic Summer Live bill after a rocket fuelled arrival on the pop scene. The part Irish, part English quintet were handpicked by chart impresario, Louis Walsh and Westlife’s Kian Egan from a 2008 audition featuring 3,000 hopefuls. Wonderland’s impressive emergence owes plenty to their combined vocal effervescence, with five lead singers working in unison; this is a girl group taking their lead from substance rather than style. Their perfect pop sound is sure to wow the crowds at Magic Summer Live along with a host of top artists.
